I'v gotten an invite to a guild to day "WEEE!!"

I declined because I frankly dosent know any people and I dosent know what the guilds stand for.

So what Im looking for is websites, poeple, guide lines, show who you poeple are ... besides being a nicer bunch then most middies now a days.

Well, there are some guilds out there who will just try and recruit any unguilded person they see. I'm not suggesting this is what happened to you because I don't know who invited, but just so you know.

My advice would be to explore the game a bit further before choosing a guild and don't just accept the first offer that comes along. You really won't suffer staying unguilded even as far as level 20x - the first 20 levels are best zipped through with kill tasks and a bit of grouping in the teens down places like Muire Tomb and of course the infamous Parth Farm. As a Champion you'll be desired in groups as a tank and so you'll probably meet people that way.

It's quite common for people to wait until levels 20x to choose a guild if they are new to the realm, as you need to meet some people, see who you tend to enjoy grouping with and generally find out a little more about the different guilds on offer. I have found that the level 20-24 battleground is also an excellent place for seeing which guilds have a good approach to RvR (if that's your thing).

Whatever you do, have fun and good luck!

hmm i joined a guild when i was about 37 with one char and 35 with my other, by that time i had gone permanently /anon because of all the spam from different guilds about invites... the guild I joined never asked me to join, i asked them.

Basically ask yerself this, what do you want from a guild and then search players from guilds that seem interesting and play with them a few lvls to see if they seem as you think they are. Worked fine for me at least :)

I waited until 37 to join a guild and also had to go anon to stop the daily "why aren't you guilded?" enquiries/flames.

So for my 2cp chill out, stay unguilded and see who floats your boat. It's not really a guild you join it's friends.

You really don't "need" a guild until the high levels in Hib, most people will help you out anyway, guilded or not.

the diffrence from middie where every body is almost always guilded, and it some times seem the only way to start up a group since no one used LFG flags.

But so I havent had that problem here is the wonderfull land of hibi :)
