No way,crush is very good against sbs i beat one with half hp and it was red con since he took half hp off me with the cs hit.

Maybe he messed up the CD then? Frankly, PA+CD from a shadowblade should behave just like it does from an infiltrator. I.e. the tank should get ripped apart <shrug>.

I supposed most shadowblades go slash to get the anti-inf bonuses though. Do they have other options? I don't really know a lot about midgard.

Erm i think both Axe and Sword in Midgard are slash weapons, the only difference is the damage output and the fact that axe styles, when using two axes, are better and they get more damage bonuses PvP < allegedly >, but Sword is better PvE .....

Both Axe and Sword are both Slash weapons and the only weaps SB can train in.

Midgard leather currently has slash resist and is neutral to crush and weak to thrust.

1.52 makes no changes to Midgard leather.
1.52 does however make Albion leather neutral to slash and vulnerable to crush. (go figure, its bamboozled me!)

Mattshanes get it thru ur skull matey, leather is NOT vulnerable to crush atm.

Axes and hammers in mid are the same speed.

I have died a lot recently due to those 24/7albs who've been levelling inf alts (Niar). Also.. extra lag has meant I thought I was doing a PA on a caster only to find I'm visible in the front line, and the caster isn't here at all.. he's still at the back where he ought to be.

I guess dying a lot comes with getting a lot of kills.. maybe I should work on that second thing more than the first.

And mattshanes - trust me on this, it doesn't matter how much damage your sodding merc can do. If a shadowblade PAs +CDs you and you are 1 on 1 then you are dead. If he's halfway decent that is (and most of them are). So quit going on about your merc and his bloody crafted hammers before I shove them where the sun doesn't shine!

Most Mids seem to run around with hammers. Then aagin, they nerf hammers And slash, come to think of it. Poor mids.

I wasn't saying merc's were rubbish, I was saying that I'm bored of your continual posts about how much your lowbie merc will 0wn a shadowblade when basically it ain't gonna happen.

Thanes learned their mistake recently I believe when the infy commando team started targetting them specifically due to a certain thane (cough solid cough) claiming it had never happened to him (nice one niar on proving him wrong).

Crush is under-rated because at present patch it is under-powered. It does get a lot better, but not yet...

FYI the best inf in the game is probably Artemis. Camillo and Derric are very nearly as gimpy as me

Jadow a lv50 armsman vs sb has the same chance as a merc near enough IF the merc/armsman parries often or hits the sb with styles often BUT if the sb evades often then he will win its 50/50 BUT THEY CAN BEAT THEM it just depends on certain things and my merc i am aimig for 50 but i always have to use matt to help ppl so its hard seeming there aint much lv50 theurgs about and we are a very popular group player.

Oh and if Shadowblades are anything like infs, they don't start to come into their true abilities until post level 40.

Also, if you "saw" a merc kill a shadowblade, then the merc and shadowblade obviously weren't alone (you were there, ipso facto - he wasn't alone). Unlikely to be solo - so not really to what I was referring.

This is a pet hate of mine actually. A low level inf recently messaged me in triumph stating how good he now is at sneaking up behind people and backstabbing them.. and how good the battlegrounds are at training people.

Well.. sort of... Personally the fact that later in one's inf career you almost never use backstab and use the front positional Perforate Artery instead kind of negates the benefit of such training. Just annoys me that BG teach people (at least infs, can't speak for any others) the wrong skills.

Also if a merc with lv60+ parry vs a sb would have a chane to win wouldnt he thats 40-50% chance of blocking.

Matt, you're missing the point entirely.. I'll say this once then let it drop...

You can't Parry, Evade or Block if you are unable to move.

Shadowblades have the same crit chain (Perforate Artery (huge damage), Creeping Death (enhanced damage+stun) and Stunning stab (not that good, but a nice to hit bonus and better damage than garotte)) as infs.

If a shadowblade (or inf for that matter, no clue about nightshades) gets that chain off, they can -easily- take down whatever their target, which is basically any class. Solo.

The -only- exception to this, that I am aware of, is cleric - because of the instaheals and all those instasmites, stuns etc etc However that is the only one. The shapechangers are nasty but they aren't impossible (recently took one down meself the other day for the first time).

Oh well i will soon c at lv50 i bet i beat some of them and i use a shadowblade and dam they hit hard probably the hardest i seen in the game so far one guy does 2k dmg on conned players.

erm 2,000 damage? Sure he's not capped? Azal is one tough cookie and he does just over 1,000 damage on a good PA.
