in a grp with a healer ALWAYS use taunt style and taunt only =)
ull save ur grp members, who got worse armor than u and no shield, and its way easier for the healer to heal just 1 guy.
u wil get alot of beating, yes but thats what a tank is for.
let zerkers, runies, SBs, hunters do the dmg.
just be sure u keep aggro and everyone will be happy =)
in rvr its way different =) asu all know =)

I think those who read this forum know that by now... but theres alot of lowbies who dont tho.

Is that healer specific tactics then?

I play a shaman (and a lowbie warrior alt) and with the shamans group regen, I find it easier if the group share the damage out as evenly as possible. Chances are the first tank to get hit is fully regenerated by the time the damage comes back.

BTW:
Warrior is a tank (can take lots of damage due to armour)
Berserker is NOT a tank (studded leather? ouch!)

Love Berserkers for their damage output, but give me a warrior, thane or skald as tank any day.

THIS IS NOT A FLAME OR A TROLL (although depending on how you read it it might seem to be)

I agree with u both in diff ways... for example at lair the Warrior/Warriors should keep the aggro and the others should do the dmg. but with mobs that only need 1 group to kill (to kill quite fast that is) it is good to spread the aggro if u have a shaman with groupregen...

In lairgroups the aggro is sometimes spread anyway since warriors can miss and zerks/skalds take the aggro cuz of the high dmg and then shaman regen is real good also, saves alot of mana for the healers... and also now when we have first aid and ignore pain healers can save their instas bit longer (as long as the tank tells them they have their own "insta" :D )

So in time it will be abit faster XPing in all realms when all learn to use thier RA's right :)

If you got a runy in group then it can be good to vary the aggro and try to let the monster get one hit on each melee char.

Well that can be a bit hard but if you can do it it's nice:)
