To all plrs tired of random grps!

After taking a short break on alb/pryd (EWWW) i have returned to my beloved midgard only to find out that rvr is not what i expected.The way i see it is ,there is like a couple of pure rvr guilds who play nice and organized and the rest of the plrs who form random grps only to get farmed by enemies and disband at first death.I know all the ppl dont think rvr is the climax of this game but i've been wondering if there r other ppl like me who want to make some nice rvring but lack the connections or chances to join pure rvr guilds.I mean is it worth trying to make another rvr guild with ppl thinking like me since i know quitting a guild means alot more than just joining another for superior rvr.I would appreciate some feedback on this matter.Feel free to pm me ingame too

Well i guess i can Sympathise, admittidly i'm not a big fan of the RvR element of the game and am quite happy to just laze arround and bitch alot about how unfair it is that i can farm hobgoblins (which are green to me) from lvl 12.2 to lvl 14 and still not get a god damn ROBE!!!!

Anyway, a good idea would be to try and generate interest within your current guild for RvR. Assuming your still in RB i'm fairly sure their large enough to front atleast FG of lvl 50's. Try to get some organised hunts going. If you are going to go for guild RvR stay well away from Emain!! Its somthing i should stress. I'd suggest the albion frontier, i've done some hunting there and its generally more fun

(one classic 6 vs 8 battle i had once, i spent half the run running in a circle with an armsman chasing after me and a few tanks chasing him... We eventually got killed but it was one of the most memorible battles i've ever been in. Far more entertaining than any Zerg i've ever been in)

If your gonna arrange a guild hunt make sure you do it in advance, if suddenly sombody says 'anyone up for an RvR group' out of the blue 9 times out of 10 i'l be busy with a group or somthing that i don't really want to pull myself away from. So i'd try to organise it one or two days in advance via Forums or somthing.


Anyway, thats just what i'd do. It might be different for you, maybe for the type of RvR your looking for trying to join one of the big names would be the best bet, a couple of ex-guildies have switched guilds for the RvR oppertunitys, really i don't hold any hard feelings against those that do.

Anyone that does probably didn't respect your feelings in the first place...

imo this is what alliance chat is for
to make a group which wont dissipate in 10 minutes after being zerged by albs. you play together once, you like it, you meet second time etc.

the problem is, to form such a group you need to find good support classes (two healers, shammy, supp rm, skald). 8 zerks without support are nothing. but support classes prefer to play in guild groups. that's why random groups are not viable, no1 wants to _play_ group friendly shammy for example :/ not that many spare good healers either. hell, nowadays it's hard to find even skald.

so, you just make group from random bunch of classes. it wont exist long for sure.

ps. dunno what happend with my guild but now we have 5 active healers for 2 FGs . this is total pwnaeg. i remember playing the only healer among 5 FGs of mids.

Yes alliance chat helps but i am looking for something more stable as u can understand i need a more solid basis for a grp.You know as well as i do that even a good alliance grp can be disolved in a matter of minutes.(Healerk guys i'll join but i need to log in 10mins,shammy:sorry guys guild calls,anyone:bah this sucks i am off to emain,oops i forgot i promised to help lvl a m8y see ya etc)
That's why i am looking into a guild grp where ppl know each other's play times and is by far easier to get organized and even if u r missing a couple of members it's a lot easier to find.

mate i've been wanting to do exactly this for quite some time. i am commited to my guild, but we are frankly not an rvr guild at this point in time, and as most of my time is taken up in rvr (thats the reason i play the game), i tend to form the 'random grps'

one thing tho - i dont like emain, cant stand the zerg, think its wrong, unholy, unrighteous and boring as hell. odins the best for me - usually get some really good fights there, in 1-2fgv1-2fg. also like picking on albs in FS.

i play a healer 'bushprayer', RR4L4, just </send bush> in game and u will get me or one of my alts. would love to form a team of players that learn to play well together, but arent necessarily in the same guild.

I´d love to attend some good RvR. And as all of the above I HATE the fact that most groups just vanish after a wipeout. That is so low and Albish. I rather play around with an alt instead of going RvR because of this group issue.

Just got 1 major prob. Can´t play DaoC for a living. Got my stoopid job As I am working on a 2 shift, my onlinetime is a bit unregular(<--- is that rightly spelled Bush? . But I am online almost every monday-friday and some weekends aswell.
