Can see why you might be confused by Instruments as it's not yer standard magical ability...

Imagine they work on Chants too (for all the use that they would be)

but they are spells and savages are hybrid casters, it says so in the manual . Just because a spell doesn't us MP doesn't mean its not a spell.

Think I perhaps wrote the question wrong. What I mean is - does + to magic for wizzards for example give extra damage, or extra chance to hit or what?
