To all Aurora members: Whats ur Race/Class combo?

Just curious as to what the breakdown is like and what combos people have chosen.

Would be really nice if you could add 2-3 pro and con points for the class you're playing and how it compares to daoc for those that used to play it.

Hume Male Paladin

So to do that, i think ill follow the path
Monk -> 15
Warrior -> 30 - sub job monk
Paladin -> 70 - sub job warrior

I was thinking of going

Hume-Samurai-Thief

Start off as a Thief to build up some cash then soon as I can become a Samurai pump the samurai skills up.

Combo of high damage positional attacks and low TP costs and TP scoring skills alogn with the Dodging skills of the thief make for soem pretty fun supadupacomboattacks

Only thing wrong with it is a Samurai is meant to stand for all that is good, Theft aint exactly one of their honed skills, but thats just a rp glitch

Mithran (Hail the cat people)
Theif all the way to 70.
Then a Ninja until i master that class, after that ill prob go and try to master warrior or something, but i do plan on mastering all the classes.

Mithra Dragoon/ Samurai with also about 30 lvls of whm/warrior

mithra dont hit that hard but they hit more often and crit more, so make up for it over time.

people thinking they can exp up to 30 or higher with no sub are gonna be disappointed!

i'm white mage main and a hume.

now i wish i'd just gone red mage and soloed up to 15ish then started my main job, however i've gone whm from the start so far and its been dam tough!

anyway going up to 18 as a white mage 1st then i'm gonna have a little think between red and black mage...

so basically

white mage to 18
red/black mage to 15ish (wherever last nice spell is)
then back to white mage main to 30

then have a think about trying bard main with white mage sub...

anyway just to re-make the point: you wont get to 30 without a sub job...

12 RDM so far and like it , after tanking in DAOC and finger waggling in EQ, the middle ground makes a great change.

Hehe and gotta love Bind for chaining 3/4 low cons when crystal farming or bind runaway when that decent or even was was a %^%$^%^% Tough in disguise .

Prolly sort my sub, final combos out when I see how things pan out at later lvl groups

ehh? when is it tought.. i find it very easy to solo as whitemage , beeing able to heal/cure poison on yourself mid fight even to you are in melee. Can take out "decent" rather easy and if i put some effort into it i can kill "even".

thanks for the welcome last night- good to be in a guild atlast!
Just a quick bit of daoc background...

was mini called dyven on prydwen, used to be in a guild called the grey company incase any of u have heard of it

right back to race/class combo!

bumped into monk last night, seen there H2H moves, they looked awesome, looks like they could give bruce lee a decent fight! So after seeing that think im going to change from warrior to monk.

so my plan is...

level monk/something(maybe thief-to get little more gil) to level 30
then go..

NInja/warrior,thief,samurai(not sure yet which one)

reason for Ninja is i like the look of there epic armour gear and love the idea of dual wielding katana's! - heh with extremely tasty ffxi special moves, i should be an awesome graphical force...
ahhhhsawww!

any ideas on which subclass to pick for monk and ninja - would be of grateful

I´m going for Elvaan Monk/Samurai.

Planning to sub Warrior from 18-30, Thief 30-60, and finally Samurai, from 60 on.

sounds like u are 8 or 9 level =)
