TNT2 D3D Probs .. Help?

Just got me spankingly nice new diamond viper 770 ultra, and d3d refuses point blank to work. Was ok other night. Just stopped working. OpenGL is fine, just nowt using direct 3d does.. any ideas? cheers

Try getting latest agp drivers for ya mobo if its a socket 7...

hmmmm should be OK then... I have a similar spec'd comp (BM6, 366@605 but a V3) and i used a TNT2 creative for a bit and all was fine...

reformat? Thats the only advice i can give cuz really - such a platform should be troublesome...

Also, install OS's at 366 - overclocking can sometimes chuff up the registry...

A thougt - make sure agp aparture is at least 64 meg...

Goto www.tweak3d.net and see if they have a TNT2 tweak guide. I remember reading a V3 guide and it has bios setting info in it - maybe something on yours isnt as it should be.

Lo ppl, how is ya all
yeah me had the same kinda problem on me ss7 mobo, but it would crash after a while.
right, compleatly of the point, what mobo allows u to change the AGP divider, if any at all. The thing is, i can run my P3@504, P3@558 and my p3 at 600
600 is at 133/33, but the AGP bus runs at 89 mhz at this speed. the rest of the system is stable as concrete, i can run q2 in software mode for ever, do anything at all, but as soon as i try using the tnt2 U in 3d it just crashes. what mobo will divide the agp up so itll run at 66-75 mhz caus the tnt2 can take that. If there aint a mobo that can divide the agp up, is there a 3d card that can take 89 mhz, like a nice geforce, caus then i wont have to upgrade cpu for ages.
