TLW raid's surplus drops system

Ok, we are now running a shop system to get rid of the surplus drops. We will have 2 categories for the items.

Pre-raid lotto: This will be enamels, tinctures, class specific armour except BP, instruments and jewelery.

Post raid lotto: This will be weapons, BP's and jewelery/armour from horsemen.

The pre/post raid lottos will take place on usual raid days. The system will work as follows:

Your raid modifier will be converted to currency for the "shop". Direct conversion, a 50 modifier will be worth 50 points for the shop.

** Rough ideas of item values **

Enamels = 5 - 10 points
Intruments = 20 points
Class Armour/Jewelery = 30 points
Tinctures = 40 points

Weapons = 40 - 50 points
Jewelery/Armour = 50-60 points
BP's = 60 - 70 points

** Rough ideas of item values **

Trading/Selling of drops is currently banned, I have set a system up to allow trading. You can "sell" drops back that you no longer need to the "store" for the value you spent on them or the value that it is worth (whichever is lower). No other ways of trading/selling is permitted now.

If multiple people want the same spare drop, either a random 100 will take place to determine winner, or a bidding war of modifiers, probably the former.

-----------------------------------------

This is the alpha version of these rules, they are subject to change at any time.

-----------------------------------------

Feedback is welcome.

Class specific as in only usable by certain classes, so the suits that give access to the Apoc necklaces + generic armour, with class specific bonuses.

I.E Vigilant Oathbinders = class specific
I.E Fire Thorn Vest = class specific

Guess you can just say non class specific BP's and Horsemen only armour.

Sounds like a very nice way to handle it, Yuss & TLW :)

One thing I was thinking though - if the "sell back" system is implemented, will the used items have the same cost to buy as the "fresh" drops? I mean, if someone sells back an item he/she has been using for a long time con and durability could possibly be low.

You probably will only be allowed to sell back items with 100% con/dura ;o
And you can have that f'ing wank hammer back for starters ;p

Ok, I've spoken to officers, here is the result:

Item prices and items which will be "sold" are being discussed and -should- be implemented for Friday.

Items that you wish to sell prior to the implementation of this system will be treated as follows:

Due to not having a list of how much modifier was spent on the item, they have decided that you can only transfer these items in for other items and not modifiers. Also, people who are spending a proper modifier gain preference. It's not ideal, but we don't want the economy messed up due to no information as such being recorded. Future dropped items which want to be traded in for modifiers will be ok, since we will start to record the information.

Other items which people want to buy, will work as follows:

Person A has 40 modifier, Person B has 60 modifier, the item costs 40 points.

Person B can choose to add 1-x extra points on to their /random 100. So basically Person A, has a possible roll of 1-100, Person B has a possible roll of 1-120.

This works like this, due to the general structure of the loot system, I.E more modifier = more chance to win. So that is why it was done like that. If no-one else wants to purchase the same item as you, its an automatic win etc.

All I can think of for now.

Feedback etc.

I assume you're only eligible for trading items for a lvl 50 character?

IE: I have a lvl 50 armsman, with a sidi tank shield. I also have a 47 scout, which once he hits 50 will be played much more. I would like to swap the sidi tank shield for the scout/minstrel shield I know wasn't picked up by anyone a few raids back. Would I be allowed to?

One small question...

With the main raid stuff, obviously if im an infil and wanted to lotto for a paladin thing for whatever reason, then that would be a nono and rightly so.

With the shop though, if noone else is interested, would I be able to buy excess stuff that nobody wants for a class oother than my own? Eg a friend <who thankfully doesnt read bw :p> has a birthday coming up in a month or so, and currently has a lvl50 friar. Would I be able to sneakily buy an excess item for him as a pressie? Obviously if someone else wants the item in question then theyd be welcome to it, but for items that noone else is interested in, would this be something i could do?
