Ah yeah BoB, consisting of Evolution who wouldn't dare to PvP before they all got Armageddons. The rest that joined them are just their fan boys.

And yeah, ASCN, Cyvok the lemming leader, needed like 5-10 good pilots to crush a XETIC mega corp like 4 Horsemen once was.

The biggest carebear blobbers in EVE clash together.

You kill me 3 TL2 Frigs with a Vigil in a dog fight or cause such a bill to someone over time on your own, I come again and adore you until then I have nothing left for you but those comments.

aparently from what i heard it was a carrier mothership they jumped and never bothered to check the ship out first, so their EW was useless. (the smaller version isnt immune to EW)

wonder if they figured it out yet :)

As videos go it's pretty turd! But it was on the fly, yeh they were recording it but tbh that was the least important part of the event.

Visually, it's impossible to disagree with you Embattle :)

However, to be able to fly that ship had taken years (in real time) of training. that is itself is impressive / strange / awesome / sad / retarded (depending on your perspective).

This picture: http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/2/2b/Eve_chart.jpg shows all the ships. The one that was destroyed was the second one down of the 4 large ones. Zoom in and you'll see the millimetre size ships that most people fly!

Cheers,

Ben.

What a crap TS/Ventrillo, since when can't people cheer when they take down a particularly hard target? (I'm assuming it's difficult to take down since it's so fcking big)

Pff.

Ps, blimey the game has some scale.

Well usually the fleet commander want coms clear when important stuff needs to be said. And also having 100 people yell on teamspeak isnt exactly music :D

Yep you have to understand the amount of people on the comms was massive.

I was pondering for some time getting back into EvE, smaller faster ships were my thing, little intes running around holding bigger ones in place was comically funny :)

Yes it is worth trying

Seeing that the Titan was worth about 200 billion ISK, to many that haven't played the game this just seems like a number. This included the material cost, logistics and blueprints to make the thing.
To put it in perspective, 200 million ISK go for about 15£ on ebay. Multiply this by 1000 and you get the value of 200 billion ISK = 15000£. Although this is illegal, this is the street value that people are willing to buy for the virtual values. This went BOOM.
It's like a crazy mob decided to blow up you car if you think of it that way.

An average casual player like myself have made about 1.8 billion ISK in the one year I've played in cash, not to count with assets. So it would take over 200 casual players combined effort a year to raise the money. Not to talk about the 8 week build time. Of course this was done by an alliance of over 2500 members so things sped up abit, it's still hell of a big effort, even for a virtual world.

Since this ship class was introduced a little over a year ago only 3 have been built and one have been destroyed. So two are remaining.

- pretty spot on I think, although I've played for six months and I reckon not had total gains of half a bil yet :)

I think also that all 3 Titans (2 now) that have been made are Amarr (2nd one down in the pic above). Apart from in NPC encounters & set-up events the other 3 races' Titans are yet to be seen at all!

Poag - Yeah I tend to fly frigates myself, do like the manouvreablility.

Fuzzy - Game & website is down till 11am tomorrow for hardware and other fixes. Try it though :)

Cheers,

Esz.

The Avatar remains the most popular titan type due to her ability to sustain damage and generous bonus to the capacitor recharge rate of ships in her gang. Large corporations would be unwilling to risk such expensive vessels without a significant payoff in some other area of capability. Since the four titans are broadly similar, but the Avatar has a somewhat greater bonus, the Avatar is the preferred option. However due to all the other types of titans unrecordedly not being tested, there is no real way at the moment to measure the true potential of the rest of the titans. Each faction type has it's own pro's and con's, making it equally valuable and destructive in the same sense (regardless of the currently preferred Avatar).

Quote from wikipedia. The reason why the Avatar is the "preferred" titan. Doubt we'll see the other types in the near future atleast...

Personally I'll be in a carrier in a few months time, no rush though :p

So do the players receive anything (apart from a huge laugh at someone elses expense) for this?

Except for bragging rights they can loot the ship's modules that's prolly worth a whole bunch, and stuff it had in cargo bay etc. Then you can salvage the wreck for components.

Actually it seemed the play flying it logged out, thus the aggression timer reset.
