i cant remember when i saw a friar in rvr, most of hibs re rolled characters before frontiers while mid and alb where owning in old frontiers we prepared you guys just seemed to farm rps all night.

You have got the higher population i recomend someone starts to organise albion into a fighting force instead of just whining that hibs got an extra bonus in rvr and pve.

And btw it doesnt take a week to get to 50 unless your a 24/7 player. taken me nearly 3 to power level up my second account to 46. + master level raids need doing just get out of the battlegrounds and defend and stop complaining or /delete Y E S and come to hibernia the more people on hibernia the chance we loose the exp and rp bonus

I wasn't trying to say in my previous post that I think Hibs should loose the bonuses (as Flim says - 5% in rvr is hardly earth shattering). I was just trying to express the degree to which (pryd) albs are being farmed at the moment - more than I ever remember in the entire 3+ years I've played.

While the uber gank groups from any realm can wtfpwn any other realm - I'm left with the feeling they've now gone. Even Scunner's Rising Force has just announced to move to hib/excal. Low rr albs (which includes myself) don't really stand a chance in even-number rvr at the moment.

ps. I managed to get myself bb buffed last night - came up against a middy warrior using a 2h hammer (ok I'm a plate wearing armsman - maybe I should have run then). She was hitting me for 350-400 quicker than I was hitting her with my (cold)LGW for 200ish. How is this possible? Relics are roughly even, I was buffed (presumably she was), I have pretty much max resists. Plus - 50+12 shield + moblock 3 and I blocked once in the entire encounter - nerf warriors!

More ppl means more competition for artis, arti exp and good exp spots in general. While it doesnt mean Albs rvr more. It seem that Albion have more pve/casual players then the "gankgroup" friendly Mid and Hib. For Arthur etc ...

You should look at active rvr population, realm ranks and rps gained as much as total ppl logged in when deciding bonuses etc for a realm.

Yep, since 90% of the bonus is PvE related we should remove the active RvR players from the calculations for bonuses.

Therefore hibs should get a much bigger bonus imo!!!

Since we clearly see that ppl still wont join hibernia they just get rpts boost.

You are another stupid person that assumes too much.

I have rerolled to hibernia permanently. Because of the underdog bonuses the realm has, the transition has been much smoother and easier so far.

edit: and i mean the pve bonuses

I imagine all the realms got hit with ppl moving to WoW, but there are definitely millions of albs still out there.

I think an explanation as to why the middies and hibs seem to have done ok on the RPs front is possibly that there are lots of albs to kill, and not lots of hibs and mids to kill. So albs will automatically jump any mids or hibs that come their way and get smaller RPs, whereas the hibs and mids who are running a decent fg set up with some high RRs will munch up a lot of RPs before the zerg take them down. I think that kind of makes sense.

Anyway, hopefully a few more people will come back when Catacombs comes along, maybe sharing 50% time with Daoc and Wow.

i see... so when relic raid comes, every alb will stay in AC pling new fotm classes to pwn hibs... while hibs defending their relic keep with 5 animists 30 rangers 10 ns' and 20 bb's?

and what helme said is right... we stick with our chars instead of rolling fotm all the time (reason: we don't have anything really fotm like sorcs) alot of people i know/play(ed) with has a max of 2 chars they toa'd, most of them have 1 really and probably an animist as well xD

think you will find most animist are cash farmers ,well for me anyway my ani is rr2L0 and will never be anything but a farmer my main is my warden always was always will be,even with catacombs.

yes the majority of hibs will own an ani at some level just as the majority of albs and mids have necro/bonedancer wether they all use them in rvr is another thing, but i doubt it

so yes will will take them out of the closet at keep takes/defends because thats all they excel in they suck in normal rvr groups the majority of the time

Hence the name, 'underpopulated realm bonuses' these are only given to realm/s that are underpopulated, not to realms that maybe aren't as adapted in RvR :twak: Imo us albs need to get more people to come and defend our frontiers.

It has been said many times that 'underpopulated realm bonuses' are depending on many things, and not only on population data...

oh oh, now is a perfect time to bring up the old, hibs/mids got more utility in their groups. i mean i just love to meet a group of RR11s and find out they have 3 healers a 3x DI2 purge2 FZ + insta stun mezz etc etc
Why even go there? The three realms are pretty much balanced now, each realm has its advantages and disadvantages. Of course random groups will be rolled by RR11 opted groups with all the RAs and MLs known to man, but this is true for randoms of any realm. The real test is when these opted FGs come up against each other, and in my view, the playing ground is pretty even there at the moment.

Also, please note that no opted Mid group is going to run with 3 Healers specced for CC; this is because the Healer class fulfills the role of two Albion classes, the Sorcerer and the Cleric, but cannot do so properly using one spec. Thus, opted Mid 3-Healer FGs will have typically one Aug Healer and two Pac Healers.

take a look at the current alb guild groups, some if not all run with a friar, since nf and perhaps before the friar has being underated in groups, the dmg your mages are capable of falls significantly against 50% resists rather than 26%, not to mention the fact it provides capped base buffs, bg, st and decent heals to a group.
