Dear Customer,

This is a system generated e-mail to inform you that you have used 25GB
of Peak Period (8am until Midnight) data transfer so far this month -
half way to our Fair Use Policy quota of 50GB. Until July this is
running as a soft limit in order for you to monitor your current level of
data transfer and either change your usage, or upgrade to our Professional
services. Information on our Professional Broadband services can be
found at http://broadband.nildram.net

From July, once you use the Fair Use quota, your connection speed will
be reduced to 64Kbps during both Peak and Off-Peak periods, with the
option to regain normal speeds for an additional fee - at £0.99 per
additional 1GB (charged in advance, in 2GB increments).

Regards,

Nildram Broadband Team

I've always wondered if companies can see what you look at. I must average 20gb of porn a month EASILY. I'm so glad I don't have a cap.

I don't keep mine, burn the good stuff to DVD and watch it on TV with Mrs Yuck. I do of course have to make sure it meets the required quality control standards first though. :)

Go with Zen - I switched 3 months ago from Nildram and not regretted it. Same prices - In fact £10 less as of 2 weeks away for 2meg unmetered happiness.

Brilliant ISP...

Especially now they've ditched all their cap/fair usage idea's. Go for the unlimited 2mb £21.99 per month. You might get a warning if you downloaded like 300GB per month during peak hours - but then you would with most ISP's.

I had zen to start with moved out to another location and got nildram because at the time I heard it was better for gaming, very much regretting my move. I've ordered zen again and migrating in 2 weeks :p

Nildram has gone down hill in not only capped bandwidth but bad pings on the whole :(

I've just moved away from Nildram, because I've moved house and the new one already has Broadband (Tiscali).

The only problem I had with Nildram was spam, they have a crap filter, their user list has been leaked too many times, and their crappy email system sends mail for a deleted account to someone else, i.e. me, it's bad enough getting spam I'm but getting someone else's as well.

Nildram technical support were particularly unhelpful.

Im with Zen, and due to the cost was thinking of moving to E7 (£200 for 2 years of 512) as opposed to £25 a month with Zen.

If Zen really is as good as your all saying, I might stay though.

Is there such a big difference between different ISP's for gameing though?

Plus.net is as good if not better than Zen. I was with Zen before Plus.net and was very pleased with them.

And Plus.net are cheaper I think.

I'm with UKOnline now and their Customer service is pathetic (compared to Plus.net which was superb!)...I'm not sure I would recommend UKOnline apart from the fact that they have cheapish 8MB broadband.

I've decided to go with Plus.net. They do rolling 1 month contracts and probably going to be moving house soon so they were the best option.

Thanks for your help people!

Nos I've been looking at plus.net too. One thing to bear in mind is that there is effectively an activation charge of 58.75 but they charge it as a disconnection charge instead but reduce it by 11.75 for each year you're with them.

I'm still not on UKOnline due to exchange kerfuffles but it's almost there. For a while I skanked off my mates 8mbit (lives opposite, used wireless) and played some CS with him. 11-20ms pings on CS servers :D

Plus, I'm not sure what you mean about the customer service Dys, everytime I've spoke to them they've really tried to help and been pretty decent about it. Because of the delay of getting set up, they've given me 2 months free :)

Well I rang em up and spent ages waiting for them to answer me. So I gave up and decided to use their e-mail customer service.

3 days later I received an autmatic reply saying they were experiencing a lot of queries and will get to me soon.

A further 5 or so days later I received a call from them. I was out so they asked me to call back (which is fair enough).

But that was well over a week that I had no response or action from them.
In that time I had solved the problem myself!!

Plus.net used to answer all my queries within a day or two at the very most using their online query system.

PS: Problem was having daft frog modem which couldnt cope with 8mb speeds. My new router sorted it out.

Well, I had no problems getting through today - I was told that they're getting a very high volume of calls and since they're open til 7:30pm the best time to call is after 6. Try that in future, might be better.

Yes, Dys used the alternative Trem helpline service to fix this problem. I am now owed free accountancy advice for life off Dys....which is nice.

I have just signed up for Plus Net for my home connection, Bulldog can kiss my ring, useless fucktards. 30:1 contention is teh sex and I am hoping their webspace is better than UK Onlines...which is turd and barely works.
