I got it from the states ended up costing a fortune thanks to UPS. But it is really good the game is really smooth and looks great but still feels like the old games.

The Gun at first was really dodgey as you have to align two sensors on the top of your screen. When they were holding them selves in place they moved about meaning the aim on the gun moved. I have stuck them to a bit of plastic now so they stay in place and it works really well. Even though it end up costing £65 i'm pleased with the game. I just hope the new free roam parts work well.

This specific to a particular console?

Awesome though, loved those games.

I've finished the time crisis games on the arcades, the first two were the same as the console versions in most aspects as far as I could tell.

I think I've liked the second one the most so far. The over-reliance on the bigger guns on the third game kinda ruined an otherwise OKish game for me, the first game was really good fun but it suffers because of its age in some areas. This fourth one really struck me as tacky though, didnt like it at all :( That stupid guy who follows you around the whole game is the worst bit for me, the weapons were the same as they were in the third game, so still didnt really like that part, they've added silly insect enemies that make no sense at all, and, horror of horrors, they've added vehicle "supergun-with-unlimited-ammo" sections! :(

Much preferred the second game, a couple of well placed alternate-weapon areas, a bit of cheesiness but just enough, not too much, a couple of interesting set peices and the stereotypically corny "rescue the girl" bit at the end :) The first game had all of this but just wasnt quite as smooth in areas imo.

I dont know why but this fourth one really did seem bad to me though.

and oh god, that ending! :puke:

Seems like you were expecting alot more than the tacky arcade game i was. I did not buy it wanting a story line. I wanted to shoot at stuff and have things explode hence i love it :)

hehe possibly yea, I think time crisis 1 & 2 kinda built expectations up for me, but they've really gone downhill a bit in 3 & 4.

The 3 & 4 way battles were kinda cool though.

also:
Was it me or did mad dog seem to die really really easily this time?

haha yea, but what about the minigun guy? when that bloke who follows you around starts slagging him off and jumping on his back, it all gets a little bit scary for me at that point, cheese factor 1000, I keep expecting the screen to explode when he shouts "YOU'RE A DISGRACE TO YOUR COUNTRY!", if you made cheese for 100 years solid and then put all of that cheese into one sandwhich, it still wouldnt be half as cheesy as that one scene haha :D
