An absolute cracker of a film. Keeps a light level of humour whilst at the same time being serious. It's got the guy from Phonebooth in it, not exactly the best advertisment in the world, but he does a really good job in this film. Gives a really indepth insight into the way his character is, one moment he's busting his ass to save some of his troops in his squad from going to Nam, the next he's telling a guy to "pray to jesus" when he's asked if he could help him get out. Also gives you, i presume having not gone through it, an accurate picture of what the army was doing in order to prepare troops for `Nam.

I'm crap at reviewing films. So i'll just sum it up "great film"
edit: also forget to mention the way Schumacer (sp) shot the film. I love the rather "amateur" feel to it, shaky lens, the picture of the moon being out of focus, the degredation of picture quality, the way the camera would suddenly zoom in just a bit too far then zoom out a bit to compensate. It all adds to the feel of the film, presented in what you may call a documentary format without actually being one.
