sucks arse to get robbed, a big fear of mine also (mostly to get chars deleted, not so much to get robbed), however if you dont shield urself its partially ur own fault, sort of leaving a kid alone in a candy store for 10 mins.

if u must keep passwords on ur computer, compress, encrypt and password protect (use programs like winzip or winrar),

make sure u dont share anything to non-local networks (basicly dont share anything with winshare),

use virus scanner so u dont get hit by worms to open up for security flaws,

dont surf the web with passwords in clipboard (ctrl+c),

if u give out pass to friends, never give out more than acc and pass, tell them to write it down with PEN AND PAPER,

change pass OFTEN!

On monday my sorc got hacked too, lost 5 plats and most of my equipments, I know exactly how you feel and fyi I didnt share my password or username to anyone, neither have I stored it on computer or shared it " non local networks ". So I got a big punch in the stomach aswell, got no clue who did it. -_- not looking for any sympathy but I really wish that GOA could do something effective for you zhadow and hopefully for me too.

Pay HA; 10 000$

A phonecall to the dead hackers mom when you laugh; 1 $

Thats a total cost of 11 001$

I got hacked and i never gave out my password nor have it stored on my comp or in my email
and i run behind a hardware firewall/router

GOA got back to you about this yet? They can restore chars so long they werent overwritten. GOA have to keep a log of the IP addresses by law... so they can check the IP to see if it was different to your normal IP and then look to see if anyone else plays from that IP. If there is a match, ban that person(depending if its a fixed IP etc). Thats what GOA will do if u work for them or are a GOA E&E, but if not then tough shit most of the time.

Keep pestering them in Rightnow. Dont be rude, but keep pushing to get your chars restored, to get the hacker traced etc and normally they just do something to make u stfu

Why? do you know him irl? There is a reason we have a "female"
and "male" type of char, couse players can choose their own
gender in a roleplaying game. When I say SHE I mean SHE in a ingame way.
