This is a dragon raid for ALL people, all can sign up, as I want to give people the opportunity to get some experience in killing the Great Lizard Golestandt.

There are no limited spaces, but I'll insist to form the basic group (min):
1) healer
2) tank
3) caster
4-5-6-7-8) rest

We'll form groups in Cornwall_Station_Excalibur at 19h gmt = 20h cet
And we'll be leaving 15 minutes later.
The Battlegroup will be on me /bg Calea-excalibur & will be public.

If we vanquish the Dragon, we all win 2 free respec stones : 1 for all ur normal skills, the other to change your Realm Abilities.
All the nice stuff will be /random shared.
As I want all to get something, all cannot lotto anymore if he or she has won before.

The Dragon has been killed before with only 1 group, so this raid will only be canceled if less than 1 full group wants to join me

This sounds like a nice idea, but it also sounds like you don't have much experience on doing the dragon and will end up wiping, as it doesn't consist of mindless bashing.

Saying such a thing like "it's been done by 1fg", means that they are all very experienced in doing the dragon and b) have a balanced group setup.

Also, it depends on the turn out, how you can divide your stones. The dragon only drops 25 full and 25 realm respec stones.

I do not mean to shoot your hope down, but this just sounds very weird and I had to reply.

But ALL dragon raids are experienced-only, which are not really helping other people.
Earlier Lithaladin was the one who organised these raids, but that ended ...

I say it has been done with 1 fg of random people, 'cause I was one of those members (armsman Carli) (2 armsman 1 cleric 3 scouts 1 necro 1 pally).
Even if you have the strangest group, there always is a way.
That is a lesson you learn by playing DAoC.
Nothing can't be done.
Sometimes it's hard, even very difficult, but it is still to do.

Now, you're right by saying that there might be a low turn-out, well there are more things to do that night
If Golestandt won't be hunted that night, I will do it another time, and it will be soon

I appreciate your reactions and my group(s) might get wiped. We'll have one more adventure to talk about then.

I seriously doubt that, in terms of DPS, adds and everything. Not to mention to wonder how long it must have taken to do all that. All I can think of is damage-shielding the dragon or something :x as it would take retardedly long with that kind of a group, even with buffbots.

Would you please share some more detail about that group's success ? It got my attention.

Yus, impossible things can be done and stunts can be pulled.

Well, our healer earns all the credit, I must say
I guess the max dmg was 10 from me and I don't think the other were any better. Being trained in shield helped me and our pally good.
And as you put it, it took retarding long about 4 hours.

It's just that you don't wanna quit, whenever you already killed the lizard for 25% we kept struggling, kept being rezzed.
Of course we also brought a bb who helped us as much as he could, a few times rez'ing us all. Our pally tried to keep the dragon's attention by taunting it constantly, but whenever it 'glared' at someone, that person ran the hell away heheh

This way, our bunch of 'amateurs' really, killed the dragon.
Tiring, difficult, sometimes hopeless, but still succesfull.
