Same with Transformers mind you, all redo's have been poor in comparison, still love the animated Transformers the movie

Another one, Visionaries. Only 13 episodes ever made but animation was ahead of the times and was great. But alot of people still never heard of it.

the reason they were good is because we were kids i loved all of the 80's cartoons but if i watch for instance now MASK i cringe same with inspector gadget

imo cartoons were alot more fun back then the majority didnt preach to us about morales n shit

one of my fav was centurions and jace and the wheeled warriors i dont think a remake will touch the original thundercats at least for us anyway but if the kids like it then thats who its intended for

Now "Ulysses 31" along with "Battle of the Planets" and "Star Fleet" brings on a proper outbreak of nostalgia in me. It's only once I grew up that I realised those three programmes shaped my opinion of anime for the rest of my life.

Been really surprsied with how much I enjoyed watching the first 5 episodes of the series. Though they have changed some things, alot of the key points remain and there been many yeahy moments!

Even better is that they kept to a more old style cartoon rather than the modern animation bollocks. I enjoy top animation in films, but in cartoons it really should be more like the 80s. Something about that era cartoons just feels right.
