Thrust/slash comparison table?

Is there a site that shows the diffrence in dmg against various armor using various stats etc. (if that makes sense?)
Im thinking of respeccing my infil from thrust to slash and wondered what the diffrence would be in terms of damage, Being a saracen im wondering if this is a stupid idea.

urm depending on your stats mike

ie: Slash is pure str whilst thrust is (str+dex)/2

I feel thrust is better suited towards classes with a low str but high dex & dont forget that slash wpnskill can be debuffed by a str/con debuff

Well, its about 278ish str when fully buffed. bit more when i get aug strength 2.
90% of the time im going up against leather users, so im not sure whether the trade off of respeccing from thrust to slash is going to be worth it.

just get heat/spirit thrusters then? slash is a bad idea

Using legendary gives same styles/ws but you choose damage type... with uber debuffs.

While we on the subject, what exactly is the 'workings' of thrust - I know its based on str/dex but how? How would me putting more strength effect it? just increase the base dmg?

hm prolly cus its close to mtk/mmg area ... wich means that those sbs got heat resists up ;|

and more str is more WS also but 278str looks kinda low.. get some aug str.
I have 325str with aug str3 and only 12str from toa.

str + dex / 2 = thrust dmg stat.

example...

325str + 401dex = 363

As slash 325
As thrust 363.

Don't know about dmg really, only did tops of 180 as slash, tho as thrust I'm capable of way over 200.

Adding more into str and/or dex is really nice, higher weapon skill, hit closer to cap, etc etc.

Your weapon stat directly affects your weaponskill. Higher weaponskill gives higher caps and higher base damage, also it's easier to hit through defences (block/parry/evade) with higher weaponskill.

Cheers for the help guys, think I may stick with thrust after all. As for the strength issue, I think it may be because I rolled saracen at the time and neglected to put points in strength at the start.

Edit: Just one more quick Q - Crit strike or DW for NF? Thinking the rr5 ability + the bonus to poison dmg ra might hurt a little?

how the hell can u have 278str on a saracen?

i have 205 unbuffed norse SB
(that's 360 fullbuffed)

Saracan with capped str but no aug str, no start points and no +str cap is 295.
