Throttling

If i get ym line un-throttled (where they limit the connection speed), before its been upgraded to 2 meg what effect will it have on my connection?
will the speeds become random and eratic?

Most isp when they throttle ur speed reduce it down to 64K (thats here in australia) you would pretty much expect dial up sorta speeds.

I guess the only difference being would be your connection would be cleaner than a dial up line (i.e no or little packet loss).

thats my 2 cents, some techie will know more tho

mines throttled at 512k
i was just curious the effect of them unthrottling it, if the connection becomes unstable i would rather not
