Due to the uni firewall I haven't had the chance to fully try out beta 1.6...

So...

Anyone who has...

What do you think of the new stuff?

I've been told by some that the shield is fun to use, and more useful than say the 'joke' weapon 'john beretta woos'.

And the gali? Is it the new AK?

1.6 is the "everything will be better" version, which will in fact be "the ultimate in shit, can't wait til 1.7" version. They're just trying to hide the fact that the net code and game engine sux, and there's not much they can do about it.

I liked the looks of it, but ive only played it once or twice about a month ago... I cant be arsed waiting to connect to a server only to get something like a 500 ping...

So i shall wait until its released before i make any sort of proper judgement

I played it extensively over one weekend.

I liked the netcode, on all the servers I played on the reg seemed pretty good.

The new guns are useful ( shocking ), and the riot shield increases the tactical depth, as well as making smoke grens useful.
