Surprisingly good. Total cheeeeez of course, but as a way of shoehorning Thor into the Avengers it does the job well. Word of warning, the 3D conversion is (IMHO) garbage; weirdly it was the all CG Asgard bits that looked the worst done, creating that nasty "cardboard cutout" effect you sometimes get with 3D, and the New Mexico "real" bits that worked best.

I expect Toht to be outside the movie theatre with a placard demanding this blasphemy is stopped immediately ;)

Off to see it tonight, not expecting much. Seems to be the same storyline as God Of War II?

I saw it in 2D and it was pretty good. The action scenes were very shaky cam which did my head in a little.

Went to see this with the gf, was not a bad film I thought!

He was a perfect Thor, and was good to see some other characters.

One thing that I did like in the lead up to the film, was the Cap'n America trailer. Will look out for that at the cinema too.

So-so film, like Ironman but tamer.
The 3D effects though were gash. Seriously awful fake 3D, really badly done. Avoid.

Saw it last week during the preview. Genuine humour in the movie and quite a bit of pathos. Was not surprised to see who the director was! The 3D was poor, admittedly, and felt tacked on but it didn't detract from a very enjoyable popcorn movie.

Would have liked a stronger ending and Natalie Portman in a white catsuit, but we can't have everything.

Joss Whedon is helming the Avengers movie. Very much looking forward to that. Can't really motivate to rush to the cinema to see Thor though.

Saw it with my lads this weekend and really enjoyed it (started with low expectations so easily pleased) .... am I the only one who stayed right past the end credits... ?

No, I did too. It was challenging to see what was going on with the house lights on.

Don't watch it in 3d, it hurt my eyes. It's very good though, one of the better superhero films. The Avengers movie is shaping up nicely. Loki is awesome :)
