I'm guessing there's just too many people on it. Hundreds of DAoC people F5ing every 5 seconds probably doesn't do much for the server this is running on.

Actually can you try this ip

http://193.138.95.142

This is the new load balancer I have setup. It works better if you put the following in your "hosts" file

193.138.95.142 forums.freddyshouse.com

Remember to shutdown all browsers and the reload the forums.

Give me feedback, until I have it, I cannot make it live.........

It seems to have issues with cookies not working...I'm not sure if it is just this work PC.

is this using the IP in the browser or overriding it in your local hosts file?

IP in browser. I don't have enough rights on this PC to play with the host's file.

That is more than likely why then.

Can you try when you get home?

im having LOADS of problems at the moment on my PC viewing Freddyshouse.

It took a year and a bit more for me to actually reply to this thread because i cant actually see any links referring to "replying" or quoting.

Firstly, it was all the images not showing up, instead it was the image description which was showing. For instance, above peoples avatar's it has view profile... Instead of hovering over it it just says it "view xxxx profile" etc without having to hover it.

I came to this thread as i recalled the forum having problems. I checked the new IP which was posted, i tried to login, and it said:

Wrong username or password. You have used up your failed login quota! Please wait 15 minutes before trying again. Don't forget that the password is case sensitive. Forgotten your password?

So i thought, well maybe its because im logged in on the old server. So i go to log out and i get this: ALL COOKIES CLEARED! go back to previous page[/i][/quote]

I do that, but im still logged in! Grr. I cleared my cookies, i cleared my temp, i cleared everything.

I try logging onto the new server in IE (On mozilla atm) and it still doesnt accept it!

Heres an example of the above:

An error occurred while attempting to log you out. Click here to log out ----- i go to click it and get: Clicky

I'll checkthis from work to see if i can actually get in on new IP from there (BTW, i also added this to the host file... didnt help either way)

Aaaaaaa

I don't seem to be able to connect to img.freddyshouse.com, and alternate ips given here give the same result - page loads with smilies, but buttons ("post reply" for instance) don't show up and the WYSIWYG post editor takes forever to realise it cannot get graphics.
(I switched to simple text-box mode in usercp)

Everything should be a'ok now.

Rebuilt the image server and fixed one of the backend webservers which was causing the database errors.

Soz guys for the errors, only just had time to fix it tonight :(
