As for the topic, well GTA is massively over-rated and I never plan on buying an Xbox or Cube. GT4 looks good tho

As far as I concerned GT is rubbish unless they add a damage model, which is unlikely since they want to use real cars.

Maybe so but I think GT3 doesn't suffer too much from not having car damage. In fact I played it the other day and it still looks fantastic.

PGR doesn't look better than GT3 tbh. It just looks different good. As for gameplay, well gt3 wins hands down, but pgr is still fun tbh.

my view...

personally, the only time I enjoyed the handling in GT3 was with the short term goals, ie the licences (didn't stop me getting over 95% in GT mode). I got board quickly of racing for 10 mins, only to loose it all after the anal handling cost me the race after failing to brake 1/10th of a second too late for a corner.
PGR on the other hand concentrated on making the game more of a challenge in repetition rather than patience. PGR imho was the best repeat-score based game since Sega Nights.

gah, back to work, on guess what, a car game thats going to be shown at e3 =)

You're right, GT3 can be a bit of a nightmare when you suck at it.

PGR is Metroplois street racer off the dreamcast and it got dull very quickly and the handling doesn't compare to any of the gran turismos

Xbox pad don't help it

on thing i dont like about consoles these days 90% of the games are multiformat. os unlike the 8 bit and 16bit consoles the current and maybe the future ones wont have much of an "identity" of thier own.

Even sucky people can get that far in GT3. But how you can misjudge braking distances when the game itself TELLS YOU WHEN TO BRAKE is beyond me.
