Im a little late and i never post here purely because i only read this guys books. Absolutely awful news. Once i read all of his books - getting closer -who is there to pick me out of my bookless gloom

tis indeed a shame, fear and loathing inspired me to take countless drugs and enjoy myself on many many occasions completely off my tits, no other book has made me want to do something quite so bad.

Terrible news. For some reason all that comes to mind is the line in Apocalypse Now about Kurtz not wanting to die as some 'raggedy assed renegade'. Probably just an unimaginative association.

He'll be sorely missed and not just by me.
