Like the topic says, they seem kinda like the shaman but looks harder to specc... I would like some kinda of lower DoT/root to keep me busy while not healing, but still want resistbuffs + average healing powwah... help me out here.
Gimme some advice on how to specc a druid.

lowbie groups suck, as a druid the only way to xp is grouping really (effective xp) so unless uve got an organised grp - wait for /level 20 to get u up to a level u can get a semi decent group with imo

I did the high nature and regrowth and nurture split equally, dont remember numbers tbh but it sucks arse believe me. At 50 i could get stuffed by a decent blue even with my uber pet, AE insta roots, Dots and the works. Go Nurture Regrowth and be popular in groups cos of your uber heals and buffs.

Battle druids suck , simple as that. trust me, i built one :)

Hu...? Looks like a strange specc I must say, cause you don't get anything special at 36 Nurture... and you don't get anything special at 40 Regrowth either... except best rezz :)

To m0000: Yes, I've got a bunch of ppl waiting for the /level command, so soon you'll have a couple of new hibb players :]

Anyway got some more Q's:
For RvR, how useful are the insta single-target/AE root spells?
And the pet you get, does it nuke/stun/lap-dance or anything special, or is it just the regular tap-a-caster/healer pet?

That dmg-shield you get, is it as bad as all the others? Like 15-20dmg back? :) Not gonna specc to get a high one just wanna know.

And one more thing, let's say you got the lvl30 DoT, having +~14skill in items+RR, would that DoT get resisted/do less damage alot more then a lvl41 DoT with the same bonuses...
Hope you understod that, hard to explain =)

nothing at 36 nurt, go 35 and put rest in nature \o/

I think he meant 35 nurt for the cold buff and 41 reg for the next best heal, wich is imo best druid spec.

41 spec heal is kind of a waste, as it costs more mana than the second spread heal while it heals for less.

so 35/40/rest is still fine...

okay the truth is I couldn't get 41reg as I gimped some points in nature (3 to be exact) and now lack exactly 2 pts to get 41 reg. woohey :p

What I said at the beginning is still true tho :)

PS: hi everyone ;)

41 reg 35 nurt for groups...there is nothing else a druid needs :p
The 41 heal is good for healing tanks and the best rezz is a must imo for RvR...and maybe PvE to, since u reduce the ressickness to 50%.

i went 36 nature 30 nur 26 reg, and while it is good fun in PVE it sucks in RVR. The dots do a nice bit of dmg, but unless your the second druid in the grp you shouldn't be dotting :) AOE insta root is great for panics (ie once mezz is broken / purged and 10 zerkers are after you) but not worth going to 36 for.

after much consideration im respeccing right out of nature, probs to the 41 reg 36 nur spec

end of the day it comes down to who you are grouped with often (if you got a buffbot druid in guild, or you know you will be the second one in grps, u could go high nature / reg or something fun) or if u have a playstyle thats different from the norm then go for it, otherwise i'd say go pure support until 40 at least, you will lvl faster and can respec if need be.

have fun, good class imo

Thanks Ceap for the ingoing tips, thought you could play the druid kinda like the shaman, but I now see that is impossible since he's the "mainhealer" class of hibb.
Atm me and 2 friends will start playing hibb any day now, give it a try or two before /level goes live, what would be the best 3-man group?

best 3 man grp

well bard and 2 chanters is damn good but focus pulling is boring
you can prolly do 3 purples with that grp.

warden hero champ can be fun :D

Bard manachanter mana eld same thing as the 1st one basicly :p

Druid spec 41reg/35 nurt, or high buff spec of 44nurt/31 reg is ok too.

As for 3 chars playing together... probably get mana chanter, druid and mana mentalist for fast killing.

My plan before I left was to go 40 Regrowth 30 Nature 20 Nuture as that gave the best res resonable buffs and the 2nd best pet, but I did solo a lot so I needed a way to do some damage.

As for a 3 man group I liked Druid and Ranger using the Root'n'Shoot(c) technique but it was very mana intensive so the 3rd would probably have to be a mana mentalist.

i would like to see a combo of a reg/nurt and reg/nat druid in an fg.

the nature druid is leading, insta ae rooting any enemies and waits for normal aemez from bard. not as good as insta ae stun but well, at least something. anyone tried this setup?

imo 40 nurt, 35 reg, 9 na.

if you are sure to always play in the same group as a nurt-specced druid in RvR you can ofc go 35-40 reg and 35-40 na.

Well I dunno about always beeing in a group with a 'heal' druid, so looks like I'll be skipping nature :]

I guess we could try it, seeing every char and his brother has a druid in IG ( ;

I was thinking about the 30/40/20 spec too tbh. The stun pet @ 20 nature affinity seems nice. No insta ae root then though. 40 regrowth for the Xyna res and spread heal, 30 nurture for reasonable buffs.

Seems a lot of different specs are good too for druids though.

Think most specs bar a total spec nature druid are viable, the other half has an even spec and with 35 reg/26 nurt/whatever the rest is in nature don't think anyone who has grpd with her has had much reason to complain :D

Personally I'm heading for 40 reg, 35 nurt and 9 nat, will miss the green con pet chasing clerics tho..go grey con midget pet!

Ripped from camelotherald.com:

Summon Nature Spirit
Summons a "pet", or servant that the caster commands to fight and die for it. The pet will be either 75% of the caster's level or the maximum level given by the spell, whichever is less. With each upgrade, nature spirits gain additional abilities (they also inherit abilities earlier pets recieved).

1 Call Minor Nature Spirit Self | 6.0s/*/0s | | Max lv7 | | 25% power |
7 Call Lesser Nature Spirit Self | 6.0s/*/0s | | Max lv12, self AF buff | | 25% power |
12 Call Nature Spirit Self | 6.0s/*/0s | | Max lv20, self Str/Con buff | | 25% power |
20 Call Major Nature Spirit Self | 6.0s/*/0s | | Max lv32, proc stun | | 25% power |
32 Call Greater Nature Spirit Self | 6.0s/*/0s | Max lv50, proc bladeturn | | 25% power |

So the Last pet would actually have self-AF-buff+Str/Con-buff+stun-procc+bladeturn-procc... right?

And how long is the stun, 6 secs?
