Thinking of comming back

Hi peeps

Many of you would remember me as mobstomper and thorey for the last few months (if there are any lingering daoc'rs )

Anyway I am thinking of returning to the game after a 4-5 month break (I think...too much beer is bad for u kids )
I just wondered what has changed since 1.53 and what is the best class to be now? I am looking for maybe a solo class (in rvr) but is also good in grps (skald? Minst?)

so if any of you guys could give me a breif overveiw of whats gimped and whats not now i would be greatfull...also is it worth comming back are there more of less users etc? basicly is it worth me buying a new copy of the game and paying my subs?

Well, if you gotta start from bottom again, i would maybe suggest you w8 for SI and roll one of the new classes. Ive heard that Bonedancer is a very nice class. Second, i dont think there has been any nerfs of any classes since you left (but im dont sure). Only major thing is spellcrafting, which imo sucks major ass. But then again my skald will get nice melee resist. Ohhhh and WB m8

unbuffed mins = poor soloist
can kill SBs with shite resist, and gank casters/archers fairly well, but you'd be better off with an inf for soloing. Skald is a better soloist than minst imho these days.

ranged classes are nerfed (archers & casters)

current patch and the ones following it are basically melee-love patches until 1.59 which seems to be a bit of caster love but nowhere near enough to restore the balance.

solo-ing = get a buffed infil (which obviously takes skill )

In relation to the original question: Yes, it is worth coming back. Look at all these people who claimed they stopped and can't resist coming back! Me, I'm happy for every new warm body we get in the game (even if said body has been here before).

in that the tanks no longer line up and moo quietly whilst the casters nuke them to ashes, yes... casters are nerfed.

hehe well i never played a char up to lvl 50... (highest was Ozilia lvl 32 healer...) but i'm telling you: QUITTING THIS GAME IS SOOOO HARD

i've also had a break for about 4 months, but i'm about to start again aswell... maybe i'll lvl my healer all the way to 50.. maybe i'll lvl my lvl 16 sb to BG and my lvl 14 mentalist/prydwen to BG to... who knows.. BUT the fact remains, this game IS indeed soooo hard to quit..
