Thinking of coming to camlann...

Hello there, over the past few weeks ive been getting bored of excal and I enjoy playing my low level characters in camlann for the usual "Excal-is-down-so-lets-wtfpwn-at-MM" action. But lately if been thinking about making camlann my main server, so I was wondering If some people who have played here for a while could tell me the most enjoyable classes to play here. I fancied either a cave shammy or a SB, but I am wide open to suggestions.

Necro as 1st char no doubt about it mate

Get it to high 30s early 40s then make ur main char

I didnt make a necro and found it pretty hard to get going

The only thing that got me up and running were friends, u want them to

Cool, but tbh the necro doesnt appeal to me one bit, I dont know how it works here though so my input wont be that great. Although, if thats the easiest way and can help avoid the hard work of leveling solo 20-50 (again ) then I guess it may be an option.

Well, the best thing to do is search around for some new/lowbie guilds so you can exp / pvp with them. Once your 50, you can do what you want from there.

I would say playing on Camlann is alot better in a guild. You could play a stealther solo, but imo its not much fun.

FG vs FG pvp is great, so really you are looking at these classes.

Any tank/damage dealer, shaman, healer, warden, cleric, caster etc.

Bonedancers and necros are probably the worst choice, due to the fact that BDs from my point of view and by reading forums - arnt really accepted on camlann due to being overpowered. Necros are just boring like RvR and once your pet is on half-HP, you will find yourself running for the portal to get out of the siuation.


Stealthers are great if you just want to solo, but some guilds that i know of dont accept them, so you will probably be exping on your own, and then pvping alone - unless you manage to get into a guild who accepts them.

If necro don't appeal try another cloth caster as a first char. The armour and items are cheaper

BD does quite well solo tho you'll have to cash farm in out of the way areas since BDs are kos to most folks

There is alot of chars thats fun solo, i would recomend(sp?) Reaver, ns, skald, minc, friar(havent actually tried one but alot of ppl says they are fun) or a dark sm.

Pick Nightshade, Fast - Lots of Dex, Peirce Spec! and Incredible Evade, i got lvl 50one on Camlann 5l7 Wirey, pm me if u need info,

i can take any class down - if they r not buffed, and as long they are;nt sc'd bd

Cool replies but Im thinking of a 2h brit pally or 2h troll warrior, not sure. My hero is 50 LW and I love the damage he does, so I was thinking of carrying this on in camlann. Only stealther I really like are SBs tbh, played a NS to 41 and got a bit bored, SB looks like a fun class but I still fancy a 2h main tank from a fresh new realm.

Warriors are solid if a bit boring to play. And you can be S/S and 2H at the same time, so that gives you some flexibility. I'd get a shammy buffbot though as soloing will be very slow otherwise.

im lvl 30 atm.... wtfpwning /level 20 noobs @ about lvl 26 is rewarding, i got 700 rp in one evening of killing, and as /level 20's give 1 rp, thats Oo

also the uber part about chanter is - put your caster pet on some bd, and run away, and look at his hp dropping, and then x was just killed by you that also works on other casters

Nah, sometimes play my mates 50 chanter and I only enjoy the PB

Aye, my hero is 50 LW + 50 shield so I know all about the flexibilty, I have 2 accys so I can have a BB, I reckon this will be my best option, 2h / ss troll warrior xD

Rarr! Just make a Friar. They come with selfbuffs, healing and self end regain.. ya dont need a BB with a Friar and they make loads of cash pvp.

Started playing on camlann last night and after playing my shamy to lvl 24 I wanted the tank option, so Instead of my idea of making a warrior 2h spec, I made a 2h troll skald ( ) And its uber fun solo and when I get my BB accy back working im sure it'll be even better.....but Im still up for changing and using the /level 20 the options are endless but for now it seems I will be making my skald (Giiveth) my new camlann main.
