Tomorrow I'm going to london with some mates and cant think what to do :(

I am gonna be going to a sushi restaurant or something in the evening, then for some drinks, but i need something fun to do during the day.

I don't fancy a gallery as I go fairly often.
Don't wanna goto Natural History (went the other week) or Natural Science museum (its poo).

There is the Hyper Japan thing on, but tickets are pretty much sold out :(

There's loads of comedians on etc, but it's all in the evening. I need something in the day.

Help me Freddy-Wan, you're my only hope!

Time Out is a good one to check out for things to do

London Dungeons is great if you are willing to fork the rediculous prices. The Aquarium is ok, not as good as other sealife centres but the petting pool is worth paying for alone

Havent tried the touristy stuff in a long time, never been on the eye.

Covent Garden and Camden are great just to walk around, my favourite two places in london

If you like going to museams and galleries national history, science museum, V&A are right next to each other

You can burn a whole day in London Zoo, i would check the timings of the shows though as you may miss most of them if you get up late

London Eye? The duck tour boat that goes into The Thames? Just walking along the Thames and stopping at cafes/pubs is good if you are not into museums/ galleries/ shopping. Enjoy your day -let us know what you do in the end.

I think - and dont quote me on this - I heard tomorrow's gonna be dry in London. If so, there are some nice places to walk along the Thames. South Bank is nice. If it was summer, I'd tell you to go to Strand on the Thames in Chiswick. Lovely scenery & great bars & restaurants. There's a lovely nature reserve off Lonsdale Road SW13 Barnes.

They do a Jack the Ripper murder sites tour if you're into that sort of thing. But the East End's a bit grimy

I do like aquariums, however the Birmingham Sea Life centre is the best i've been to, then its the London aquarium, however that was no where near as good imo :(

Liking the sound of the Thames, will have to see if I can find anything going on there.

As posted originally, I did not fancy a museum or gallery as my friends into their art so we go quite alot.

Never been on the London Eye so that's something I'd like to try.

Lamp: Do you know any more about the Nature Reserve? My friend goes to Uni in Barnes so it'd be awesome :)

Its called the Leg of Mutton Nature Reserve on Lonsdale Road. Entrance is near the Swedish School. You can probably google it. Prob not much fun if the weather's crap TBH. Barnes / Chiswick is lovely if the weather's fair. There's no shortage of bars/restaurants there.

Whereabouts are you going in the evening?

Have booked the London Dungeon for the day time, then would like to go to a Sushi restaurant, then maybe a bar or something to have a drink and a good laugh.

Do you know any good Sushi places in Barnes at all? My friends at Roehampton University if that's any help?

I'm not a massive Sushi fan but there's a couple of places I know - not in Barnes - but a short cab ride away

Sushinho in Kings Road, on the north side just west of Old Church St

You've got Feng Sushi in Notting Hill Gate - not too far from where I live actually. Notting Hill is a great buzzing place at the weekends - but its quite a way from Barnes

Nearer to Barnes there's a Feng Sushi in Fulham Road - opposite Chelsea & Westminster Hospital

There's LOADS of Sushi restaurants in the West End

Just to say I went to the Notting Hill Gate's Feng Sushi (we'd been to London Dungeon earlier which was bloody amazing!), so it was easier to get to.

I was suprised how small it was inside, but there was a couple of people in there and it had a nice cosy atmosphere about it. The food was amazing! Also my friend is vegetarian and theirs was also super yummy! Can't wait to go again :)

On Sunday I went to Putney which was kinda cool, went to Wagamama's and
got some Ramen (Naruto style :p).

Had a great weekend all in all (oh, did get fucking soaked on saturday night, curse the weather!). If anyone is in two minds about going to the London Dungeon, it's well worth it.

p.s. Make sure to book it (half the price) and the queue is about 45-60 minutes long.

Yeah it rained baaaaad on Saturday night, i was out in Covent Garden, lucky i drove though, no standing at bus stops for us haha
