Id like to say a fond CONGRATULATIONS to everyone in Thidranki from Midgard this night who made it a night to remember.
Finally got the organisation and motivation we needed to work as a team and re-take Thidranki Faste. I just hope that by the time I get back in the morning it wont have been raided at 6am and retaken..but then we'l just do the same tomorrow night again <smiles>
Special thanks go to:
Spedgus, who led the retake and set up both rams
Wai, Ghoulwen, Graverobber, Wyndis, Spedgus and myself for leaving Thidranki and gathering the parts together for both rams.
Theorin and Havok for crafting us the tailor and weapon crafting bits we needed.
The officers in charge of shouting 'DONT CHARGE LORD YET', 'STICK TO NYDOI' and all the other stuff that went on.
Special 'ya boo sucks' to the Albions that attempted to fight us from behind when the second door was at 10%..there was no way we were gonna let you do that. Sorry.
Id also like to thank all the Albions and Hibernians for showing me that my hammer is superb, and hits harder than you do. And all the infiltrators, for making the early part of the night fun. Whoever the infiltrator was who beckoned me while I was at the portal keep, sorry for the others interrupting - but Id have smacked you silly anyway <grins>
Story goes like this - we spend hours in Thidranki, feeding Hibernians and Albions RPs, occasionally charging the doors and whacking away do no real damage to them until spedgus finally says 'come on then, who wants to go and get rams'...so a few of us spent an hour ferrying bits into thidranki.
Got back, to find most of the midgardians in trouble as some ranger was on the keep hill, non-attackable..and being buffed/healed by the Hibernians. So, after much shouting and arguing, it was decided to retreat to our portal keep (helped along by Albions arriving and taking some people out).
After waiting for two ports, we eventually charged en-masse to our bridge, and scared the Albions silly. Then up to the doors, rams up weapons out..and battered them senseless. I did expect to find a few more hibernian defenders, but either we had thinned your numbers earlier or you got a bit bored...ah well.
You have to admit, the green banner looked a bit silly, and ours is just so much better.
