I got a couple of questions here about things that have been bugging me. Anyone have a clue about the following:-

a). Bloodmother. I have done this quest 4 times (once for myself and helping others out). Question is... can she be made to appear and drop the ring if no one in the party requires the quest?
Having done this quest a few times, im pretty sure I know how to make her pop (camp log for a while, massacaring everything as fast as possible, if she doesnt pop try another log..), but a full party couldnt uncover her in almost an hour of camping all the treehouse areas in turn.

b). Outland village. Does it serve a purpose? Im guessing its something to do with the VW/Animist epic? There are two red con merchants (brother and sister) who occasionally do some verbal insult,... so I got a guild group together and killed them both :)
(each babbles something about us not being victorious until their brother/sister is dead too), but nothing happened. (appart from the sister turning into a purple con tree mob which was fun). No drops :(

Outland Village is part of a high lvl quest, summit to do with a swarm of really purp mobs, forget the name, but its burning a hole in my quest journal atm.
Quest starts in Necht and gets to the 2 named merchants in the village before it gets really dangerous, impossible for a solo character, think 1fg may struggle tbh.

Theres also another named mob in the Outland Village... Called Cuinn.

Cuinn himself is approx lvl 65-70 and take a bit of a beating, when he gets to 10% health he will call for help and the whole town comes along with 6 red con to 50 Treant Seedlings, these are what drops the Jewels. The Treant seeds are very easy to get, we got 4-5 jewels per pull.

The best way to do this we found was to pull Cuinn upto the cross-roads a long way from the town, so when he called for help we could finish him off before the adds got to us.
Also you can clear the town before you pull him and you get less adds.
An ideal group for killing them would be : 1 Warden 1 Bard 1 Druid 4 Tanks (3 using s/s) 1 Mana Caster

They drop 3 gems .

Name: FrozenTreant Seed
Level: 47 Quality: 95
Bonus: 25
Effect 1: 7 Power
Effect 2: 10 Empathy
Effect 3: 55 Hits
Effect 4: 8 Thrust Resist
Utility: 50.4

Name: Crystallized Treant Seed
Level: 47 Quality: 95
Bonus: 25
Effect 1: 10 Constitution
Effect 2: 10 Intelligence
Effect 3: 55 Hits
Effect 4: 9 Slash Resist
Utility: 45.1

Name: Petrified Treant Seed
Level: 47 Quality: 95
Bonus: 25
Effect 1: 4 Parry
Effect 2: 9 Strength
Effect 3: 47 Hits
Effect 4: 7 Body Resist
Utility: 51.8

Oh great, thanks you two, thats very usefull. Ill have to go find that quest... isnt listed on alakazam unless its an under 40's one.
Might have to try for some of those baubles as well :)

No one got a clue about camping bloodmother without anyone needing the quest?

Spent 30 minutes or so clearing the stumps, none in the group had the quest. No spawn.

Added mage who had the quest, another 45 minutes wasted. If it hasn't been "fixed" in our version yet, the easiest method should be to clear the southernmost stump all the time. Some later patch makes the mother pop at random at one of the stumps, meaning you'll usually get her to pop if you start at one end of the stump line and just run thru them all...

You don't need the quest for the Broodmother to spawn. Killed her 3 or 4 times so far, and only the first time were there questers in the group.

Basically camp a nest and keep it clear for about 5-10 mins, if no pop move onto another nest. However, she does seem to be on a long timer of some sort, so after killing her go and find something else to do. I wasted a couple of hours trying to get her to spawn a second time.
