Theurgist Spec for Thid

Getting near to lvl 20 with my Theurgist and was wondering what the best spec would be for Thid please. My own thoughts are either air or ice with enough in earth to get the blade turn but I would be grateful for any input. Thank you.

19 ice and 6 earth at lvl 20, but i suggest you lvl to 24 before you enter thid and spec 20 ice and 13 earth.

air pets are nice ;) chain stun 4tw.. if you get 6 on someone, he'll be unable to move at all, you can even staff kill :p

think this got patched maybe in 1.70, target gets immunity timer after first stun so no stun chaining

far as i know only the cabby pet has been 'fixed', air pets remain the same.

ice nukes hurt alot at that level thoug, spam 2-3 on any char, any they will struggle :p

you can't get three nukes off in a battle as you will get interrupted by the insta-spawning hordes of stealthers tyvm

Mixed Air/Ice was the spec I did recently with enough earth for self bt- great fun - even a crap AE mezz to upset stealthers - I went to thid at 20 and had no probs killing the 24's with my pets - air for tanks/hybrids/stealthers and ice for casters/healer types - 4 air pets equal constant chain stunned and dead unless someone helps em - 4 air or ice will kill anything in thid - only tricky part is finding people dumb enough to let you cast 4 at them :)

On the plus side using the pets you do the same damage res sick as you do normally :)

6 is a bit overkill - I never found anyone to survive 4 no matter how sc'd a troll they were...

I'm 22air 8earth and 4ice in thid and I love it :). Air nukes hurt a lot too but it isn't necessery to cast them if you can get 4 pets on someone. Can kill stealthers fairly easy even if they get pa off, quickcast mezz and spam the pets. The annoying part will be when another stealther adds while you've mezzed 1 and start casting pets...Happens quite a lot.

Most fun char I ever played in Thid was my Wind Theurg - with just the earth to get self bt for the pesky hunters/rangers.

From 1.71 patch notes:

- We have changed how the immunity timers on pet stuns work for pet classes. The immunity timer will be five times the length of the stun. For example, a pet with a one second stun will now grant a 5 second immunity. The pets affected by this change are the Cabalist Amber Simulacrum, Spiritmaster's Summon Spirit Thrall line, and the Druid's Summon Nature Spirit line.

So looks like air pets are unaffected - which makes sense as chain stunning is the whole point of air pets after all!

They did fix cab pet stun, so it gave imunity in 1.72, but the ppl whined like hell, and they removed it again, im not 100% sure on this, tho i think its right. So u can still be lucky and have a 15 sec stunning cab pet :)

You're right it's 1.72 it gets changed - my mistake. I don't see it being removed anywhere though.
