This is the best i have been able to dish out with my poor selection of especially cloaks, rings and jewelry.

Weaknesses are matter and spirit.

If anyone has augmentations, plz say within a few hours

the lowly Infernal Black Diamond Ring from DF gives a util of 36 spanking the ones your using, could argue a mage doesnt need the +str so the effective util is lower and i say one word to that, "debuff"

Infernal Diamond Dusted Cloak is also nice @40 util, again a bit of +str on it but still better than the Pyre Walkers for a mage imo.

and u dont want to miss out on the chance to max skillz SC offers, ok it might not be much more dmg, but it is still more..

Hm, iirc no robed casters can do the quest. I might be mistaking it for another quest, so correct me if I'm wrong.

Better ro wait till SI before making this mate.

You looking at about 1 month for SI and when it released you have access to much better items. my SI thuerg Template Caps everything needed apart from about 15 power and has duel focus of staff.

This is overcharged but not that much.


If your intent on doing it now. look at prismatic opal rings:

4 Power
12 Dex
4% crush resist
24 Hits

Total utility: 30.0 and all stats are good for a caster.
Drop from named mob in hib frontier dungeon.

12 str

10% cold

the 12 str are useless to me
the 10 cold sends me over cap, also useless

Quest cloak:
15 con
6% slash
6% body

6% body sends me over the cap, useless.
Net gain of 5 stat points and a loss of 6% resist.

Im afraid they are very rare, although they make me drool.

I do not intend to wait for SI as I can afford augmenting my suit along the way.

I do not intend to ward myself against str debuffs, as my encumbrance is very low.

One possibility I will investigate before finishing up my suit is this:
Get rid of Etheric, get the cloak of Retinency, slap on a DF avernal ring - see how it works out.

Doing it like that will negate the 6% overcap from the cloak, making it slightly better than Pyrewalkers.

I'll post result when i get home.

Tried the swaps mentioned above, nothing gained. Just forced myself into getting +22 and +25 stat gems.
