Power cap is 75% power pool that is 25% + 50% power pool cap

not sure how a pet will work though it should give you more pets though hopefully a theu will post a msg on here :)

That power percentage is based on your "base" power pool. Buffs and items add above that. That way power percentage spells seems to take less power than they delve for.

Haven't got a thurg myself but a firend of mine noticed a drasticly increased number of pets/powerbar with 70% powerpool. Also consider that the higher your power pool, the more power/fop-tic. For pve/farming perposes, high powerpool is a must.

You definately get more pets with +powerpool items and RA's.

each pet takes 8% of your base power pool, not your modified one.

True, all spells that cost % of power, calculate the cost from "base" power pool value. The question is, what is "base" power pool? :) +Power pool bonus is definitely adds beyond "base", but what with Ethereal Bond and +power bonuses, that add not % but fixed amount of power points? It may as well add to "base" power pool.
Its fairly easy to test with theurg, just test pets/ bar with and without EB.

I see and hear lots of different explanations for this, ranging from +75%
to power cap and +50% to power pool, and unless you cap your power
pool at 50%, the +power cap has no effect
to the one you mention above.

Whats the difference in +power cap and + power pool cap (and how do you
distinguish between the two?)

Does anyone have the definitive (tested and proven) explanation ?

Can someone get +75% power pool and benefit from the full amount or do
they need to have any +power, +power cap ?

On the original note, I'd have thought that anything like Jacina's, TG, pots,
Ethereal bond, MCL, RP would replenish you % power pool remaining and thus
allow you to keep on petspamming beyond what you could do with your
normal power pool (+int gives more (base) power pool iirc, but pets would be
a percentage of this and thus wouldn't give you petspam advantage - but it
would give you a larger power pool with which to nuke).

For everything above +25% powerpool you need +powercap items first.

For 25% powerpool your will need no powercap and 25% powerpool items.
For 50% powerpool you will need +25 powercap and 50% powerpool items.
For 75% powerpool you will need +50 powercap and 75% powerpool items.

But tbh... everything over 35-40% powerpool is very hard to get within a balanced RvR setup, since you will have to gimp resists or something else.
