I dont know about anyone else, but I'm having a bloody good start to the week so far, half-waiting for the other shoe to drop, but just trying to enjoy it while it lasts!

Didn't have to go to inspection this morning because I got good turnout last monday, so I sat in the troop office having a brew while almost everyone else was on inspection :D Then had an exam and was the only one on my course to get 100% :)

And now I'm about to have chicago town pizzas for lunch :D this day cannot get any better!

Hope everyone else is having a good start to the week, lets post some good times so anyone who's not having such a good monday can atleast have something cheerful to read :)

i remember training, the little things always raised spirits. Little things that you took for granted on the outside suddenly become life saving aides, like pizza hah

hehe yeah nice when a day is just 'good'. My monday has not been exceptional but I am about to remedy it some what by going down to tesco express next to work and getting a choccy bar.

Happy afternoon folks!

Not so great here. I got woken up at lunch time by the fire alarm in halls (was planning on getting up early) and had to hurridly dress and get outside. I came back in and went to the kitchen and found that I hardly have any food so I'm eating my last can of soup. I also realised I hadn't done the required reading for my seminars/lectures this week, and was about to do it when I realised I havn't got round to buying the book yet. I need to sort myself out :(

Got 3 days off to do some much needed chores before the spring, first was clearing out the shed and take stuff to the tip. I opened the shed door and saw a great big pile of junk, closed the door and played on the PC all day. Off out to play poker in an hour or so.

had a great start.
was making parmo and chips for the girlfriend and my self.

ended up cutting through a potato and subsequently my fingertip, thus detaching it from the rest of my hand and landing gently on the dirty kitchen floor. must of been a good 3mm thick and 10mm across.

Most of the 'fibrosepta' is missing.

the good part was we finished making it after i got back from the minor injury unit. first parmo in ages.

i am looking at this situation quite positively at the mo.

i got a parmo in the end didnt i?

i went back today to have the dressing changed. on the initially dressing, the nurse applied a silicon gauze, the aim of which was to stop everything else sticking in the gap in my finger.
apparently i must of bashed it in my sleep, because the gap had bled to shit at somepoint, leaking through the silicone and cementing everything tied around my finger in to the gap. i found this out today when the dressing was being changed.

soaking didnt help.
she couldnt cut it off.
she pulled it and it fucking hurt.

in the end i was on gas and air for what seemed like forever. i think she just yanked it off and went to town cleaning it, before redressing. quite unusual feeling of somone cleaning the divet of your finger where it used to be flesh, and is now bone and nerves.

so 2nd result - i got to experience gas and air for the first time, and it rocked.

im back on friday to get it changed again. hopefully the pain is unbearable.
