That the small print that reads something like ...

*16mb is the theoretical maximum speed achievable, realistic speeds will be well in excess of 1mb on a good day

Ive tried NTL 1,3 and now im on 10mb, and although they gave me a much better cable modem with my 10mb subscription, average speeds are 1-5mb, ill probably drop back to their mid range sub and hope they let me keep the modem as im paying the earth and not really getting much more.
