The calls are probably funny but the site is shit. It won't let you download the mp3s, nor save them; the only choice is to play them in Quicktime, which as you all know is utter shite, with fuck-all indicator of download progress. Bastards.

And the shrew link is hilarious :), but the Wishing Bird one left alot to be desired; I'll never understand your sense of humour, Summo :/

The pygmy shrew was a well thought out piece, with a lovely flare of design - and a sort of quasi-funny punchline. (this is becoming typical of TigerAspect)

The wishing bird was lacklustre, and the only remote sense of humour was infact the feature of the pygmy shrew being crushed, the ending was an anti-climax - and to top it off the wishing bird reminds me heavily of The Fiddly Foodle Bird (or whatever it was called; being a childrens BBC feature)

pygmy shrew = the don,
wishing bird = his peon nephew.

Thats not apple's fault - the browser insists on downloading the file before opening it in the relevant player

heh, first flash animation posted on here to make me laugh in, oh, em, donkeys years.

The tone of the narrator is spot on, nicely done.

I couldn't really understand what was being said, in that Wishing Bird one.

Yeah, but Quicktime is shit no matter whether the browser gives progress or not... perhaps I worded it wrong. Why can't they open in windows' default program for mp3s (winamp) anyway?

Forgive me, I need a rest :/

I see it completely the other way round. How strange. Pygmy Shrew is funny, certainly let down by a crappy, predictable punchline. Wishing Bird is a superb parody of childrens TV shows (love the psychadelic 'wish' set piece ;)). I laughed a lot when the bird starts choking, turns purple and the 'camera' slumps to the floor. The final view of the angry animal and 'I hate you, Wishing Bird' topped it off nicely.

Y'know, like whatever...

I'm right behind you on this Summo. Wishing bird had me laughing until I cried.

I tried laughing in the other one but the sound came out all weird, like a hesitant cough. I decided that was because it wasn't as funny.
