This ballad tells of the voyages of Sir Ilem and his attractive sidekick Septina; of when they set forth from our noble lands unto heathen territory.
'Tis me playing stuff/singing - I first posted a version of the lyrics on the Templar boards aaages ago, though the subject was slightly different and has been changed here to fit recent developments. Note the pronunciation of Emain is kind of weird and I'm not sure entirely accurate - it's meant to be something like Avviin. The tune comes from a Martin Carthy song, though he believes it to be originally 18th century East Anglian. Be warned, this is what might be described as folk. If you find yourself tending to sing nasally with a finger in your ear, seek help.
Thanks and cuddles to Septina for hosting it. ;DDD
