This ballad tells of the voyages of Sir Ilem and his attractive sidekick Septina; of when they set forth from our noble lands unto heathen territory.

'Tis me playing stuff/singing - I first posted a version of the lyrics on the Templar boards aaages ago, though the subject was slightly different and has been changed here to fit recent developments. Note the pronunciation of Emain is kind of weird and I'm not sure entirely accurate - it's meant to be something like Avviin. The tune comes from a Martin Carthy song, though he believes it to be originally 18th century East Anglian. Be warned, this is what might be described as folk. If you find yourself tending to sing nasally with a finger in your ear, seek help.

Thanks and cuddles to Septina for hosting it. ;DDD

It may be creative, but the subject matter is Prydwen rvr!

Some people asked for ze lyrics since they couldn't tell wtf I was singing sometimes, so:

I once knew a fellow called Ilem of Wajn
And his pleasure was pwning down in the Emain,
A-walking a-talking and taking his time
When the weather was pleasant and charming.

So gay and so gallant he went on his tramp,
He met with a Swede at the amg ramp
Where the bonny little Hiblets around them did camp
With their rowdy-dow-dow in the morning.

"What ho, me brave kinsman," Sir Ilem now cried,
"For Arthur and realmpoints," Septina replied,
They set forth together to trample the tide
Of fat lecherous elves in the morning.

They slaughtered about them with honour and grace,
But the Hibs were now closing around them with pace,
And they sat on Septina with merciless haste,
'Ere he could breathe out the morning.

"Nerf!" cried Sir Ilem, and "why did we die?
"The lifetap is with us!" he said with a sigh,
"But if you'll come with me, one thing we could try
Is rerolling to Hib in the morning."

Oh Ilem of Wajn is now Roqu the Gaul,
And his pleasure is pwning in Hadrian's Wall,
Where he mezzes the Albs and then outskills them all
With his lagstrafing haxx in the morning.

Thanks everyone :)

And yes, it's me playing the guitar, though not so easy to tell you the chords:

Using a guitar tuned down to BFBBFB, with thick enough strings and a double fourth string, at capo 6. The chords are just drones on the open strings left around the single notes of the melody, with the occasional addition of B flat on the fourth or sixth string. I can write your friend a tab for it if you really want, but you'd quite frankly have to be a weirdo to restring+tune your guitar to that. However, playing F mostly, with E flat on the final bar of the second line and second bar of the fourth line should sound alright. And I hope that doesn't make me sound pompous. x<
