The reason why albs are winning and the rest not...

Hey all,

Im not used to leading rvr bg's as i rather stick to ml's, but i was tired of the albs owning us everywhere, anytime.
So there i went, i started yelling on/as and spreading the word as much as possible. We got 9 in the first 15 minuts, but after another 15 minuts we got a good amound of 39 ppl in BG.

I had 2 groups to ninja inside the keeps and the rest to attack the outer gate. Everything went smoothly, i dont think something could have gone any faster from our side, but when we had outer gate down and inner gate was on 23, about 80 albs zerged us.

Ok, luck that the zerg was waiting for some action and porting immediatly away from hibs to get us, can be.

We released and regrouped at glen, then i changed our plans and ported to nged to attack the albs in hib. I reckoned breaking port in hib will both help us (keeping albs from porting to hadrians and vice versa) and the hibs to maybe retake something. we took 2 bolg towers, and guess what, the same Scout who was in surs, was also at that tower. We moved the long wayto crim4, yep not empty ofcourse, but a necro waiting and already placed storms in front of the gate. Followed by half an albzerg to storm us. We took crim4. My plan was to swim to agramon and attack berk, but we got an alb boat dropping on us, and we got spread out, and eventually got killed by hibs and albs, lets say we were nice "toppings" for their sandwish.

We released and went to alb again. We went to take beno t3. My suprise to find the same scout there again. 1's luck, 2's a lot of luck, 3 is a lot of bullshit. We took the tower fast only to find a good amount of albs attacking us again, way to fast that they would do in normal circumstances.
We rezzed up there and moved around. I kept the target to myself, till 2 minuts ahead, Bold3. Was an orange tower so it fell fast, but hey lol the albs were there with a massive zerg just whhen we had gate down.

At that time i said tx , goodnight and now im here.

To a conclusion, We were screwed over, time over time over time, we had a spy in our mids telling albs where we went next. Albs are nothing i tell you, nothing. Without inside help they cant stop us, they cant prevent anything.

@ Mids: Tx for the teamwork tonight, tho we got screwed a lot , u showed me that we can work as a realm, fast and efficient. I hope to be able to experience the same teamspirit again and again.

@ Hibs: Albs are overpowering us only in numbers, they might have the same spies in ure ranks as us. When u showed up at beno3 i specifly told the bg to attack albs, not u. We should work together, tho ofc not in directcontact to go against the coc. But more in a way of undirect support. We attacked the towers of alb keeps to give u guys some breathing, Eventualy i saw u took back crim3, and hopefully ull get ure keeps back soon enough.

@ albs: Using spies in our ranks will accomplish nothing except ppl leaving the game, eventually the only thing ull kill are a few solo ppl and ureself of boredom.

@ Xrealmers: Ure seakening the game for us who love the game. I would love to do a zidane on all of you, u dont deserve to be in this game with ure kinds of attitude.

See this thread as a whine, a contribution or something that needed to be cleared up, i just said how my evening was and my opinion on the situation of things.

i been whining alot in guildchat lately over all albs thats swarming all ovre hib wherever you port. Its almost never been this bad tbh and i logged in frustration many times now over the last few weeks ..
What also makes for some more frustration is that regardless of what i hear i found myself being constantly attacked my mids at docks and other places at same time as im fighting albs. Which isnt any strange but i just have the naive hope that they would support us when we both need it tbh^^.
Ok end of whine...but rvr is as frustrating as never before.

last nighi was on a grp which in first we moved to hib land and then after couple of mins we or on our frontiers. we wanted to go to era which was under attack but after few sec we were on the road to berg.
because atm albs are huge more ppl in rvr prolly they want to go somewhere which were less albs. ( for more rps, quiet, etc )
plus dont forget that if you r in a zerg and you move to an enemy keep a big hammer ( as you r a mid player) will show up and a spam in as or in bg will be for sure.

anyway if it was a spy in your bg you would have seen the scout where ever you go not 3 out of 4 place which you mentioned

I can only assume maybe it is people playing in a netcafe, or people playing in the same room at home/uni or cockjockeys that deliberately go out of their way to get some RP by sticking a lowbie alt in the /bg and telling the enemy the plans of the middies.

It could also be the old hammer on the realmwar map BUT it is getting more and more suspicious by the amount of times that people are posting threads about this.

If you have an account on Alb and Mid, if you want people some Middies left to fight, stop screwing Mids over, instaporting the Alb zerg to places before they are even attacked!

When Albs have this kind of domination in numbers - the Server should automatically boost RPs/points/xp/gold everything to the underpopulated realms until there is a natural balance again.

Oki... we cant port Crim/Bolg anymore, so Beno it is.. LOL look massive flames on 'random keep/tower' lets go there.. Riiight now a Beno tower is under flames.. lets go there...

Then.. hmmm we lost Beno port, oki lets port Boldiam oooooh check that out, tower nearby in flames.

Flames near 'the only common-sense port for Albs' is just asking for getting zerged down. Ofcourse its easier (and more FOTM) to blame x-realming but if you use common sense and spam [UPDATE] on the warmap every few minutes (or seconds for some people) you're bound to get in time to a tower under siege by Mids.

to choose to play alb is not the same as winning. its more a choice of giving up made by those players. the last player in midgard is the player that wins daoc.

If you think someone is x-realming.. i.e. the scout being everywhere you turn up suspiciously.
Simply jot down his name and rightnow him. I doubt it's hard for GOA to have a quick scan through the server logs and see if he headed straight for tower X as the destination was announced in the Mid BG, or spammed his /as with Mids going for X. It's possible that with the number of albs about at the moment your just being spotted by a stealther roaming about, server logs will show up if that's the case or not fairly quickly tho i'd imagine.

The thing about people that cheat in this manner is they tend to be fairly stupid so catching them normally isn't that hard..

I wasn't on tonight but it's nice to see mids trying to organise some stuff. Hope you guys do more of it in the future.. :worthy:

How does one decide? This is as suspicious as it was for us on Friday and exactly the same pattern as well.

All we can do from now on is when there is a BG and you move to a keep and see someone there take the name. Get the name and give it to GOA - server side logs will tell it all imo. We need to start reporting anything suspicious and lets hope the ban stick is incoming if anything can be found out.

You see it would be relatively easy to spy all you have to do is log into a BG and have alts in certain keeps.

So from now on Mids please take names and report anything suspicious like scouts appearing in non port keeps especially.

Its all we can do. Albs are very strong atm and some really good groups out which is nice. Its sad that if there is this activity going on because it just undermines those players we know and respect and whom we know would never do this. Someone did know names in our BG my advice to those people is to would be consider rightnowing those names because if this is happening it is destroying the server.

edit: Ohh and welcome back Mids - I am sorry the mood in Hibbie is not good just now because we should seriously just have a truce til the summer is over.

When you kill the first guard at Surs it says [The Armsman from your outpost has been killed with 38 enemies in the area!] on my screen.
Next thing that happens is I tell two different /as channels and /b it at Snowdonia.
After that I still have plenty of time to get to the keep before the door goes down.

Mid have had a hard time doing raids since Ardamel left.. if im not wrong! We just need a new leader.. maybe update the alliances a bit.. so the active guilds is in an active alliance ? have u been thinking about that ?


So imo play the game, work together, and the albs wont be a problem! Instead of running solo to a keep or in grp with a bb.. make good grps if u dont wanna loose everytime
