The perfect group

Once was had a group that consisted of ....

2X Shades
2X Mentalists
1X Ranger
1X Enchanter
1X Voidritch
1X Druid

All in the mid-30s

And we were kicking some serious butt in CM pit.

I totally agree, it's not just what clasees or specs u have it's how you use your character too.

Had a cool group in CM the other day.... was mage only group lol... mages normally have a mission getting a group in CM especially Void eldritches so we thought sod it started a group had

1 x Mentalist
2 x Void
1 x Enchanter

It was about the best XP I have had in CM since going down there... even better than being in one of the so called perfect groups :)

Plus no combat either you can kill them before they get to u :)

for exping there is no better group then:

3 shield tanks
1 warden
1 bard/menta
2 mana chanters
1 drood

period.

3 shielders guarding eachother and with bt would never ever get hit.

I wonder........... are we missing the point? Is this not a game for fun? Why does anyone wanna be in a group thats the same all the time, pressing the same button using the same tactics for 50 levels. That doesnt sound like fun to me. I spent alot of time in Coruscating Mines with 4 casters & 2 wardens. We had a laugh & got on well. Maybe it wasnt "maximum XP" Sometimes a tank came, sometimes a bard sometimes a druid but hey i didnt care i just liked the variety & the chat.

Are we not all fighting for the same realm? Should we not be trying to help everyone level regardless of class.

Why sit around waiting for hours for that perfect group surely some XP is better than none?

Well thats my two penneth.

Yep I agree with Erek... I was bother about how much xp I got alittle until I got to about lvl 35... xp after then is slow regardless of what group you have... so might as well sit back and enjoy playing the game :)

btw Void Elders rule!!! ... maybe I'm only saying that because I am one... but I find them good characters for soloing or in a group... direct damage stilll does nice damage with very little power loss so you can nuke and nuke and nuke :)

The bolts are great as well.... you can yellows and oranges with one bolt and get nice xp soloing... u can also use them in a group of mages which I have had no problems with. Also they spot on for realm vs realm. Great for picking off other long range combatants :)

One level 50's void bolt hurts about as much as another's unless you have some magical "I do triple bolt damage" ability :p

I have more respect for bolts since a runie bolted me for about 1380, in epic armour (which was a one-shot).

I really hope that was a crit, and not normal damage ;)

Bah, i wish people would stop rubbing this in. :p
Imagine going to the effort to level up what you thought was a hard hitting at range char, solo most of the way, taking 40+ days played only to find out he was gimped rvr.

Guyz... wake up... there's no such thing as perfect group (template)!!!

All groups are funny in their own way! I just had a wonderfull group with my bard + nightshade+ranger. We rocked!

And also, it doesnt matter if you know how to play your abilities or not... you learn as you go...

//Shaz.

PS: Never EVER refuse a bard! You never know when you're lying dead, asking for a rez and the best you get is a "oom!" message. :p

That would have to be a crit as it's way over cap (cap is 951 I think). Still seems high - I typically get bolted for about 400. :p

Lately I've been finding more and more people willing to accept
the 'non perfect group chars' into groups, there are lots of people who realise that everyone has something to offer, particularly if you play well. This has cheered me up no end and I've been enjoying playing so much more than when I got 'you mana m8?' and then told no thx or ignored when I dared to own up be being void specced.
Been in some great fun groups recently and had a total blast

Why perfect grp? Coz pve sux, no brainer mobs sux, lacks of content sux.

I´m used to made my grp... and another day at parth with my alt I got a queue of ppl! :eek6:

Xping sux, period :)

If only it were true, you will get hit if only cos BT can be penetrated and cos the odds can and will fail at some point.

Not only that but I like having a NS or ranger in the grp (not one of those whinging ones "plz give me a grp" types, they tend to be the sort of item hogging wretches u would love to boot across the frontier, noche excluded cos his "makes bambi eyes" cracks me up every single time) a little diversity is good and you get the opportunity to see how well that class can be played too.

I say give space to a void eld! They get a hard time tbh and yeah sure 2 mana chanters can really rock but I've spent enough time at fins with voidritch/manachanter and 2x manachanter to see that there can be almost no difference in DT if both are well specced, played and a decent lvl for it. Rustic comes to mind as being one such voidritch, grpd with him for the best part of a week and it was excellent to grp with him.

Quick tip for y'all out there (my pet hate this, nothing personal ;) )
please try typing druid and not drood, same number of letters and you have the bonus of not looking like some child who doesn't know how to spell :)
Just a personal grrrrr sort of thing, not a flame kthxs :-P

Hmmm a "perfect" group is not needed to have fun. But if you make you're 8th alt or something and just want to lvl him up to 50, you are pretty tired of xping the same places for the xxxxx time. Maybe you team with someone that play theire first char, they will prolly see it as new, fun, exiting etc...and you will see it as bah those mobs again, we could do it with only 3 of the peeps in this full group etc.

But ofcourse it is fun to hunt some usual boring mobs sometimes even if xp is crap, if you team with nice m8s that chat alot and have fun. But again, it's not THAT fun the xxxxth time you doing it. Just that you want to try RvR at lvl 50 with another char becouse you're bored of you're tank and wanna try a caster...or bored of caster and wanna try stealther etc....

Hmmm donno if I made my points clear enough here though..pretty tired :p
