The Newbie Guilds in 1.62

How is this gonna work btw (never played on the pvp server so dont really know the setup)

Are these guilds gonna be assigned GM's?

Are they able to join an alliance?
(if so all 4 guilds would be welcome in HoF alliance since we tend to spam more with advice than the other alliances due to our n00bness )

Would be nice to pass on what we have learnt over the years to some new players to the realm..

HoF is a great alliance, we had a lot of fun in there and it was nice to be able to ask for advise on various things like spec and finding groups. Still miss the late night "debates"

As far as I understand it every player from the same starting-town will be placed within the same guild. So one guild for Connla, Domnann, Howth, Mag Mell and Ardee each. Since this placing is automatically I don't think anyone will be set to GM-status, which will making inviting these guilds to an aliance impossible, but maybe you could ask goa to do that

Its a great idea.

These guilds arent supposed to have any hierarchy / alliance etc. They are there just for the purpose of getting some n00bs together to share ideas about how to kill mudmen and stuff and ask eachother how to get to meg mell. Think of them as nothing more than a n00b chatgroup that you auto join when you start and can leave once youve learnt the interface.

Play EVE and you will realise what a great idea it is. For a noob its a fantastic resource.

I was just thinking that if all these players who were entering the realm at the same time could have some kinda advice on the realm so to speak.. if all these new guys were in the same guild and were all wandering around going wtf is this thing?, arf arf.. might be handier to ask on /as. get a proper kinda answer. I'd like to think that the HoF alliance is here to help the newer players to the realm, i have absolutely no problems with people who ask questions over our /as.. its one of the primary reasons we have it would just be nice if we could all pass on a bit of advice to the newer players without them having to go through the sometimes ritualistic process of joining already formed guilds.

If anyone of you guys join the realm and arent able to join us in /as.. it dont matter, pm me and i can hopefully help u out anyways play some other chars too btw.. check this out..

I have patience. will always answer questions if asked. I was once new to this realm and jeez.. i dont want anyone to learn this realm the way i did, hehe... even though it has probably made me the best PvE champ in realm.. (LOOK AT THAT BRAG!!! arf arf) I must be pretty close though, also have lots of different chars with somewhat unorthodox specs.. i like to test for myself and see how they go. Feel free to chat to me.. i usaully have sod all else to do anyways hehe
