Yeah, mine tried to do that once.
I told it "No, bad mouse software, no Internet access for you!"

Yes, and when you installed it, it asked you "Do you want Intellipoint to check for upgrades periodically?" with the default ticked.
It just checks for upgrades, if you don't tick the box you don't see anything...

I'm very careful with those tick boxes, I've installed my Intellipoint Keyboard software countless times, and yet ZoneAlarm always informs me that it is making a bid for freedom. Bad M$.

My ZoneAlarm keeps trying to connect to the net whenever I start it up !! Never used to before latest update, and I have autochecking thingy turned off of course.
