..... since we all here, even in barryswhine, have more sense than mythic and the VN boards, what do you want to see from the new expansion?

Personally, Im still hoping on an artisan tradeskill, to craft particle effects, armour designs and other such fluff. Maybe crafter bracers/rings/neckies etc. but I think drops have been undervalued enough already.

I would also like the new races to have some kind of conection to the game's mythology. Inconnu did not please me one little bit.

And, oh dear god if the Americans get there way and put a Japanese realm in. :p

Actually, the VN boards, by dint of sheer volume at least, contain a great many highly intelligent and perceptive posters.

You just have to know how to scan quickly through and note them.

They also tend to post links to other places that are informative and interesting.

I´d like to have my own horse, and take it into battle. Also what Loxley mentioned, the ability to craft armourdesigns and particle effects on weapons and shields.
And ofc new races that match the history of the three realms.

So far only Atlantis has been mentioned, unlike SI where we all got seperate islands, so maybe this is a shared realm, who can say yet.

I would like to see more inference put into the stories of the realms, and quests accordingly, not just ones where you can skip thro all the blurb and get the prize, but puzzles in the tales NCPs tell you have to figure out.

i would like the new expansion where all 3 realms can go togeather pretty much like a PvP server but without any killing im sure they could impliment this with out too much dificulty would be great to group with other realms class's

Albs zergin emain is bad enough without em zerging the xp spots too };P

Plus why should i suddenly be able to understand troll just because i've ported to this place. Add all the regional and recial barriers mythic have added upto now to make sure we can't communicate and have a very real sense of "this is mine an that is yours, screw with mine an you'll get yours". Would make no sense to u-turn an suddenly "be friends". If it is one land i suspect we'd have to fight for it like DF with the same RvR combat rules.

Upside to this is that the Hib uber mob might be actually killable out of the first version if it's same mob as the alb and mid one ;)

I think its like DG (The RvR dungeon with no limits on access, i dunno if thats the right name. I don't go there much) but on a much larger scale.

At any rate it sounds cool, and yeah. More fluff! Much more fluff, they'l never get class balancing right... well thats a lie, they might but then you'l get people whining about...

'I did this test where i rubbed my nipples till they went hard, this proves my theory that Midgard is full of queer boys. Mythic, change the registration so only straight people can play and you'l see how low the midgard population goes'

Bottem line, some people will always whine about somthing.


Anyway, as long as i don't have to mass produce stupid little gold beads (Re: IJ:FoA) to make everything work i'l definatly be giving it a try :)

I really don't have anything against the basic idea of craftable particle effects, armour designs, etc., but I really think that no additional trade is needed for those. It would only be natural if armour crafters could do their 'own designs' and different particle effects for weapons fit well into alchemy or SC.
Jewelcraft should probably be implemented, but I would suggest it to be ONLY a secondary skill meaning that you could only make gems, rings, bracs that were very low in imbue value and/or with strict level limits (in who can wear them). With jewelcraft maybe some form of /salvaging (and even trinketing?) could be implemented for the SCrs and alchemists out there.

particle effects for weapons were originally part of alchemy but due to the engines limits it wasnt implemented.

but things change so you never know it may be possible now ;p

one thing that annoys me most about the vn boards is when someone who seems intelligent and posts a pretty decent and considerate complaint abut somthing, and the next thing u see is...
