Have you ever wanted to run your own studio and create the next big hit movie?

Activision and Lionhead have released a demo (285Mb) allowing you a small taster of The Movies.

Hate to mention this, but the game's been out for a good 4 months now.

It's fun in a themepark kinda way but the reason for playing it is to create your own films from scratch, Lionhead have a webby for people to upload their own. There's some good stuff uploaded (and a lot of crap to boot)

Anyone played the game? The idea behind it sounds good and original.

The game is really good.

I bought it right after it launched and it's really fun being able to create your movies from scratch.

It's almost like a professional movie tool, you can decide actors and you can decide the storyline of the movie.

unfortunately i bought it as a game with little interest in making my own movies

as a movie creating tool i can see how its cool but as a game i found it a serious let down

I havent had time to learn the movie editing part yet and the game gets too repetitive just using the scripts it produces.

Only get it if you want to make films.

Yes the games been out ages but the demo only came out yesterday.
