I just got my BT Bill available online and my worst fears have been confirmed.
Back in October I left an overnight download running, when I checked it the next evening the website had gone down and a download manager had been attempting to reconnect every 10 seconds for the last 20 hours or so.
Problem is I was using an off-peak Surftime account that blocks daytime calls, however, the connections runs for about 4 seconds before it disconnects.
You guessed it, each of those disconnections during the day cost me the minimum of 4p per call, and there were hundreds and hundreds of them.
Estimated cost £70.
F*ck
