So its all ready for the unemployed folk on monday to stop em from committing suicide cause life is too unbearable in the shitty world and is meaningless without PlanetSide, therefore avoiding countless law suits??!!

Ok here goes..

They probably don't want to patch on a sunday because the extra employment costs either in paid or in lieu will impact on the business. However they need to do so otherwise press and customer backlash will count against them. So its either a tangible cost ie paying staff or a intangible cost of bad wom/press. They obviously decided the intangible one would cost the business more in the end.
