The Legends

Being a dane I know prettymuch all about the northen mythology, but I'd like to know more about the legends of camelot and hibernia.

I'm at school at the moment, so I have to multitask so my teacher doesn't find out I'm not doing what I'm supposed, so I have no time for google ;o

Well, Hibernia is based very loosely on Irish Folklore.
Of which there is a lot of material, so much in fact, I can't even begin to describe it properly in a post here.
But one of the more.
Perhaps the "Slaine" graphic novels gives you an idea of what DAOC hib is like.


The Arthurian stuff, Again a mish mash of traditional Arthuriam themes. If you see the movie "Excalibur", it would be the closest to to DAOC Alb is emulating.
However, if there WAS an Arthur, Excalibur was probably the furthest away form the truth, since Arthur probably existed in the Romano/British period just as the Saxons Invaded/colonised the UK.

Hibenia has also got quite a lot of teuchter legends and the like.

I know nothing about Hibernia Lore...

But am rather solid on Norse mythology.
And also know alot about King Arthur and Knights of the Round table.

I never even new much about Hibernia till i found daoc hehe...

read "On a Ravens Wing'" by Morgan Llywelyn, also "Lion of Ireland" , "Bard" and "Druids" by the same author can offer some insight.

the first mentioned title has it all, Crauchon, Emain, some NPC's from howth are there too

Camelot was said to be in minehead somerset..

I can see why, as they have alot of castle ruins there..
Also near Salisbury, and cornwall.. inbetween
