is it a joke or what? The crosshair is massive.. they've b0rked the AWP and the recoils.

FYI...

» AWP & Scout now have a small delay on your ability to fire, zoom, or reload after switching to them from a different weapon or item.

» The crosshairs have been scaled to look the same on all resolutions. They are slightly larger depending on your resolution.

» New headshot icon. You can now see which weapon was used to make the headshot.

» de_nuke is now brighter, the floating box exploit in the ramp room was fixed, and the outside box near window is no longer destructible.

» de_cbble is also brighter, you can no longer climb the vines, and the bomb plant exploit at bombsite B was removed. New T spawn points as well as various other changes and additions.

» Sniper zoom-crosshairs have changed slightly.

» New rounded VGUI menus on scoreboard, MOTD, team selection etc.

» Solid radar can be toggled on or off with the command cl_radartype (1 or 0).

Played the latest release a few times now, time to hang up my guns methinks.
The crosshair is laughable. If they change it back or include a cmd to change it I'll come back.

Reading some forums it looks like they put the crosshair back to the way it was. I've not got the latest Steam update yet, it came out late last night.
I'll be trying it tonight.

Thanks for the invite Leggy but UT doesn't float my boat at all, rocket guns and laser thingamebobs etc. Never got into Quake either. They are both too much of a fragfest, I prefer the slightly more gentile games in my old age

AA is worth a look if you haven't tried it yet.

I've also been playing Desert Storm on the PS2, bought for me at crimbo, really like it. I might look at some PC squad games soon, Rainbow 6 type stuff.
