The lag is still really bad.

I have a 10mb connection and the lag have increased since I bought this game. At the moment it is so bad that I go LD several times each day and that, to me, is unacceptable.

I have heard that there is some router or something in France that is the reason to this. I wish to know and collect all the info in one thread about this problem and try to make something happen. As it is now I wont continue to play this game if the lag dosnt, at least, return to how it was before it got worse. I havnt a clue what happened that caused everything to begin lagging so much so if anyone got info on this post/re-post it here so we can make something that GOA wont miss. Even if it isnt their fault it might push them to help their customers who wants to play their game. Without lag.

I remember you from the other thread, "Same lag again after patch", or something like that. You had BBB as isp right?

At the moment I've got a little bit better connection to the servers than what I had in the beginning of the other thread. Still I've got some bad lagspikes though. Checking my connection with Pingplotter the route is close to clean, most of the time. I've read on these boards that this patch is infested with a terrible lag problem that will go away at next patch. If this also involves us (Sweden/BBB) I cannot say, but I am at the moment hoping so. Sorry that I can't be of any more help at the moment.

You were of help. That they may patch "away" the lag is good news. I havnt heard that the lag may depend on the patches.

Any more heard anything?

I'm on dutch chello and have had silly lag since 1.50. Someone decided to reroute all the traffic to the french servers via new york.

I don't really suffer from extended lag but at least once a night i timeout, i can still browse the internet though. Sometimes takes a couple of minutes to find a login server when re-logging too.

Probably because of the holiday that some routers have gone offline... I have the same and it's freaking annoying, wanted to make RR5 this holiday but with this lag I gotta be lucky to hit a fly.

If I am not mistaken, I think there was some network traffic problems lately with WAN routers in EU, it might be solved for new year ?

Dunno...but its getting worse every day here ffs.

seems like once every otherday we gwt flooded by periods of massive lagging and LDs. Its like playing UO all over again..

I think it must be a french router problem, cant play mythic for once

I do almost hope that this f***ing lag isnt a patch problem. Becuase if it is...then GOA probably knows about it and then they are the reason for the fact that I have died alot, gone linkdead alot and the fact that I have paid for a product that have gotten worse. If so, they havn't told about it, they havn't offered to give me my money back and they havn't decided to wait with the most recent patch until they could jump directly to the next one.

If these things are true and when the patch arrives - the lag is mysteriously gone then GOA and Mythic will have destroyed alot of my faith in them and hopefully it will cause some sort of reaction from their costumers...

It's almost so I hope that it wont end up better after the patch...becuase at least then I wont get as furious (again) as I am now because GOA decided to let me die this most recent lagdeath just because they wanted to cover it up. :(

not the patch

If it was the patch, it would have been right on after we got 1.52 and been constant. This has just been the last week or so.

It's GOA/Wannado at least part of the time, so they need to get on it and expand/improve their hardware and bandwidth.

No Glendower. Us with BBB from Sweden (perhaps some more nordic country too) have been having this problem since at least oct-nov, perhaps longer. The problem you are talking of is affecting a wider range of people.

These kinds of problems usually get solved sometime...but no, today after a few months of lag it has been horrible and _completly_ unplayable.

This isn't BBB's fault, it's Opentransits. A router down there is probably standing inside a closet somewhere letting out a lot of smoke since it is about to explode. The problem is that Opentransit can't find the key to that closet, or they just forgot that there is a router in there. I've tried mailing them on an address I found doing some whois function in Pingplotter. If you want to mail the address is admin@OPENTRANSIT.NET.

I've posted about this problem with Opentransit in this thread.
