I went to see this the other night after it got totally panned in the press; i've not heard a good word said about it. With that in mind, I went to see it.
It's not a great film by any stretch, but it's not too bad - I actually thought it was ok. It was a very simple horror story, and had a feel of Day of The Triffids about it, or The Birds. It's very B Movie, and as long as you don't expect too much from it, it's not that bad.
It won't win oscars and the acting was ropey at times, but as I say it feels B movie.
ECA, you are spot on... and I feel bad having read your post and still watched it... am I forgiven?
strangest film ever. Its almost as if he picked up the Signs script and thought... 'yeah, 1 more time, but with tree's and plant life being the 'weird shit' And what was with the weird old lady, I'd have gone straight for the nearest heavy object and bashed her over the head!
One thing that was cool, was the driving into the tree almost reminded me of GTA4
Started off okish then it just got worse. My theory is people were killing themselves to get out of the film and get away from Mark Walbergs acting. You see one guy look at Mark and before he say hes line, the guy lies down infront of lawnmower.
