The Free The Rogue Quest

I want to do this quest at some point but I heard it is broken from a very reliable source. The reason being that the person currently on it hasnt completed it.

Has anyone contacted rightnow? or any newsof it being fixed.

Did it with my necro after last week's server reset. Worked smooth. Almost 1 bub exp at lvl 49 for 10 min work isn't that bad.

When you get the quest from the intrument salesman in Diogel, he asks you to go off to Krondon to search for Mercal. The fact that Mercal has been standing next to him for several days seems to have escaped his notice.

The same problem happened to me, luckily i did it after the server reboot. When i was helping a friend do it though mercal didnt come back for ages, so he told Arden "mercal is dead" (as we couldnt find him anywhere and it only took him a couple of minutes to get to Diogel when i did it) which should respawn him back at the stronghold. This never happened, maybe he's broken it, even though his next step says go find mercal and say his nae again?

I found the instrument merchant without mercal standing next to him week before last.. so i did the quest.. the first time i followed mercal back to Diogel, mercal didnt say anything (he was suppose to give me papers to show to Arden). So i said mercal is dead to arden (with mercal standing right next to him).. Mercal disappeared and i had to go back to the fortress to get him again.. Tjhe second journey to Diogel he finally gave me the papers at the end to give to Arden. I completed the quest but Mercal didnt disappear.. I Dont think him standing there is the result of ppl not finishing the quest, but just a bug of him not disappearing after the quest is finished

I had neutral faction to ogres so it took me like 1 minute 1 bub exp at 48, 8g and a nice amulet

But it won't work if somene hasn't completed it, i think.. if Mercal is stood next to the NPC that gives the quest you cant finish it.. but if he's not, you can. I think

did any1 else realize that when you get the quest the instrument merchant is avalonian
then when mercal arrives he becomes a briton :S

Never noticed that, although so far I've seen Arden as orange, yellow, blue and green con

He still buys hinges, no matter what con he is though ^^
