they're medium scary I guess, so get yourself all prepared with lots of darkness, candles and munchies!! :)

Saw it, didn't think any thing of it and that was about 10 years ago.

Got it on video a while ago, watched it once or twice and it is a good film, just not as scary as i was lead to belive, I think it's more disturbing than scary. Well worth a watch though.

Not particularly scary, but worth a watch.

Only real scary bit is the kind of subliminal face that appears for a split second and you're just left thinking 'er? did I imagine that?'. Scary face it is too :(

Saw the original, and then the newer version.

S'ok, not scary at all. More unintentionally funny and interesting tbh.

The original was very scary when it was released; not to mention controversial (It was to horror what 'Last Tango in Paris' was to sex).

These days it's not very scary at all, as we've all got used to seeing horrible things on our tellys*

The Excorcist is good fun, though. Lots of head spinning stylee moves.

One face flashes up, if I can remember the film from years ago, when the priest is crossing the road. I think he's just come out of the subway or something.

I didn't think much of the film tbh. Maybe because it's been parodied so many times it's just not scary any more.

I read "possesed" which is supposedly the diary of the priest involved in the true story that the film was based on. That's quite freaky.

for me that is nothing more than 3 people running round in the woods screaming. I fell asleep within the first half hour :p

Watched Japanese Ring last night thought it was average. Better than the yank version but still not brilliant, creepy in places but never scary.

i thought it was quite scary when i was about 11. but i also got some condition where when my heart beats it makes me feel like im moving and one time i thought my bed was shakin like on the film hehe. i think most of the stuff in the film is made up but the idea was from a true event. for the lads head to spin irl like that he would need the str of a whole man in just his neck muscles then he would die instantly after i would of thought.

Watched all of the exorcist films one after the other on my own at a friends house while everyone else was asleep. Only scary bits I can rememer are in the first film when her head turns 360 and in the third (I think) and that old person crawls across the ceiling.

Not that I like horror films or anything. Even today you couldn't force me to sit down and watch nightmare on elm street or anything with that freddy guy. My sister made me watch the first one when I was 8 or something and I didn't sleep properly for months afterwards. Still don't :(

irl im sure it was meant to be a boy. they used a girl in the film because of some agreement with the family or something.

Probably more "horrific" than "scary" tbh. Not a bad film though, certainly a landmark movie though.

That's the difference between Horror and Thriller, no?

I think it's excellent. But TBH you have to believe in god/the devil to be scared by it...

I was in my youth - and I dare say if I watched it alone, in the dark now it'd still poo me up to walk up the unlight staircase to bed afterwards... :)

/scientist inside Scouse makes "tutting" sound..

Yeah, the story comes from a boy who was possesed.
